My lg47lw5300 powers on displays logo then goes black still has sound and i can see a image if i shine a light into the screen, i was wondering if you knew which component would be the issue, just goi

Powers on displays logo then goes black, sound is functional, an image can be seen if i shine a flashlight at an angle onto the screen. occasionally the tv tries to reboot shuts off then comes back on to do the same as i described above.

Unfortunately you have a bad panel. If the TV is out of warranty then it would be to expensive to repair. A bad panel catastrophic. Sorry for the bad news :(

If your screen is black but an image can be seen against bright light then your backlight / inverter is bad and needs to be replaced.

This sounds like the inverter which powers the display fluorescent has or is failed/failing. If you take a torch to the blacked out display can you see the image faintly? If so the unit needs repairing.

Screen is black

It sounds like the backlight of the LCD display is out. The Image is still being displayed there is just no light to illuminate the image. Try shining a flashlight on it (Put the light right against the screen) and see if you can see what's on the screen. The display is fairly easy to install but I do not know where you can purchase one directly.

Dynex dx-22ld150a11 screen goes black

Replace the TMS94481CT transformer on the inverter board. Can't miss it it is bright yellow. Part is available on EBay.

Sound and manufacturers logo show on tv screen when powered up however no picture.

The inverter may have gone out. If the display is momentary such as for the logo, the inverter cannot hold the high voltage to sustain for the back-light. Shine a flash light on the screen and see if you can detect any images. If you can, then the back-light inverter is bad.

Pinstripe cinema display flickers on momentarily then goes black. Image comes back for a split second while when power light glows steadily then goes away while power light flickers. this is a 22"...

when the screen is black and the power light is steadly lit, shine a flash light at the screen. if you can see something, the inverter board is bad and the back light cannot turn on. if the power light flickers, reseat the power plug and put your ear to the back of the monitor where the power plug is. if you hear a buzzing or any high pitched noises; the power supply is bad. use the macufactures warranty for repairs.

TV was playing, then the screen turned black.

If the screen is black and you have sound then lightly press and shine a strong flashlight against the screen. If you see an image around the edge of the flashlight, an image is being 'displayed'. The problem is probably in the Inverter/CCFT or the power going to the Inverter.
