My question to you is? Have you been diagnosed with kidney faile by a " kidney" specialist. This is not a simple diagnosis. The interventions range from taking certain medications to different types of dialysis. I would most certainly see a Nephrologist

As a dialysis patient, I alwasy take medicines like sodium bicarbonate 3x a day to neutralize acid level, calcium carbonate to help my body block phosphorus absortions from foods containing phosphorus, losartan and amlodipine to help hearth health and multivitamins with iron. Also after dialysis session, we are injected by erythropoietin to help our body increase the hemoglobin level.

Dialysis: Dialysis artificially removes waste products and extra fluid from your blood when your kidneys can no longer do this. In hemodialysis, a machine filters waste and excess fluids from your blood. In peritoneal dialysis, a thin tube (catheter) inserted into your abdomen fills your abdominal cavity with a dialysis solution that absorbs waste and excess fluids. After a period of time, the dialysis solution drains from your body, carrying the waste with it.

Kidney Transplant: A kidney transplant involves surgically placing a healthy kidney from a donor into your body. Transplanted kidneys can come from deceased or living donors. You'll need to take medications for the rest of your life to keep your body from rejecting the new organ. You don't need to be on dialysis to have a kidney transplant.

I never faced a problem of kidney failure but seen many people who are suffering from kidney failure are generally consult with a specific specialist or doctor for kidney failure. One thing you can do to save yourself from kidney failure is to control your blood pressure.

If you suspect kidney failure, call your doctor immediately. He will most likely advise going to an emergency room.

What are main causes of kidney failure

In most cases, kidney failure is caused by other health problems that have done permanent damage (harm) to your kidneys little by little, over time.
When your kidneys are damaged, they may not work as well as they should. If the damage to your kidneys continues to get worse and your kidneys are less and less able to do their job, you have chronic kidney disease. Kidney failure is the last (most severe) stage of chronic kidney disease. This is why kidney failure is also called end-stage renal disease, or ESRD for short.
Diabetes is the most common cause of ESRD. High blood pressure is the second most common cause of ESRD. Other problems that can cause kidney failure include:
  • Autoimmune diseases, such as lupus and IgA nephropathy
  • Genetic diseases (diseases you are born with), such as polycystic kidney disease
  • Nephrotic syndrome
  • U r i n a r y tract problems
Sometimes the kidneys can stop working very suddenly (within two days). This type of kidney failure is called acute kidney injury or acute renal failure. Common causes of acute renal failure include:
  • Heart attack
  • ******* **** use and **** abuse
  • Not enough blood flowing to the kidneys
  • U r i n a r y tract problems

What is hydrochlorothiazide

hydrochlorothiazide is a "water pill that causes you to make more water ( go to the toilet a lot more often with out drinking water)

This helps your body to get rid of excess salt and water

this medication also reduces extra fluid in the body (edema) caused by conditions such as heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disease

google . webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-5310/hydrochlorothiazide-oral/details for uses , side effects, interactions, and photos

I suggest that you seriously consider a conversation with a doctor before using it because kidneys, liver and heart are vital organs

Kidney and liver failure in diabetic

The liver failure has really nothing to do with the intake of ibuprofen, or the diagnosis of insulin dependent diabetes. The kidney however is, by both. Diabetes can cause the destuction of the filtering cells of the kidney causing kidney failure. Ibuprofen inhibits the release of prostaglandin which causes the vessels in the kidney to dilate and increase blood flow in the kidney. This is a double whammy.
