Datamax M 4208 Printer - Barcode is missing when we print the label and we also get 10 extra blank labels with it. Please help me with a solution

Sometimes it's simply the Internet Browser settings. Go to File, then Page Setup and change the margins to 0.1 and all footers and headers to Blank or Empty.

On the I-4208s, press Menu button on front of printer. Go to Print Control. Go to Custom Adjustments. Go to Row Adjust. Change Row setting as needed. Ok to go negative.

Datamax M-4208 label printer is not printing. It is showing paused status

probably a bad or very dirty sensor - use compressed air to blow out the sensors (look in the user manual to locate the sensors)

Display reads ready, but when print is press the labels run but nothing is printed on the labels.

Is your label "direct thermal"? or using a ribbon to print.

If using ribbon, high probability that you install the ribbon the other way around.

Datamax I 4208 prints slow when set to landscape

try using a seagull sceintific driver.
also if you are sending graphics (barcode) instead of an actual barcode decoded font, the printer will process as a graphic.
If serial, speed up to max, if parallel it should print quite fast

Datamax I-4208 Cutter Fault

if the cutter cycles on start up up?
if not, check connector(RJ45) underneath platen assy.
I connected the I class should immediately recognize the cutter.
If it does not cut ever, check you format to see if the cutter is turned on in the driver.
I have seen some failures from wear on the bell crank that cycles the cutter.

Datamax M-4208 shows ready but does not print

Hi,

I belive that, PC can detect the Printer and the only problem, the drivers are unabled to route the print queue and that creates a problem.

If your OS is XP/Vista/2000, try the below steps.

1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.

2.You will get Device manager window popping out.

3.Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.

4.Check for the "USB Composite Device" and right click on it, click Uninstall. ((IMPORTANT NOTE:WE HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, TO KNOW WHETHER IS THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, RIGHT CLICK ON USB COMPOSITE DEVICE AND PROPERTIES,look for what location says, Eg -LOCATION : Datamax M 4200)).

5.Disconnect the USB and reboot the PC.

6.Connect the USB after reboot, you will get popup "Found new hardware".Then the Drivers will be installed Automatically.

Datamax problem

You probably need to adjust the leveling cam if you have not done so already. This is the green thumbscrew near the print mechanism.
