I entered a gift card for $25.00 but am still not able to purchase a book. I reset my password and it is not accepting the new password

Go to Accounts & Lists
Go to Gift Cards
Go to Add Gift Card
Enter your Card Information
It will show your cards balance
When you purchase an item, select Gift Card as payment method

You've got to sign in to Amazon, or create an account, then register the gift card. The credit balance will be handled automatically after that. Also register the Paperwhite you have, if that is not already done.

When signed in, click on Help at the top, then Managing Your Account. You can also enter other help topics in the search box at top left.

To redeem your gift card, go to the Amazon site and search for Gift Cards then click on"Apply a gift card to your account." . Find a claim code, on the card under grey protective coating and very gently scratch it off and reveal the claim code. Your purchases will be read in the "current Balance" and will remove the $ amount on your card, with each purchase. Enjoy spending!
