Not sure but on my Android tablet once I use the picture player there is usually a upload or backup option to send a picture to a device or online account. Personally I use WD MyCloud to transfer pictures but that because I have one of their DLNA servers. You can also just "send" it to via your email to another email account and and then access it on the PC by logging into that account from a browser and then downloading it. I have had to do so on some android devices.
First of all, the pictures are not on the camera, they are on the memory card. It is not a good idea to keep that many pictures on the card for an extended period of time since they could be corrupted over time. If they are safely on your computer, you should consider backing them up to a CD or a DVD.
Now to the downloading question....you could get an inexpensive card reader. You plug your card in one end and the USB end into your computer. When it opens, you can select only the newest pics and drag and drop them into a folder you create on your desktop. Once there, you can send them anywhere on your computer you prefer such as "My Pictures".
Make sure that you have not locked these pictures for editing on the camera. This may be the problem. An unlikely problem might be that you are out of disc space on your computer. Double left click 'My Computer' and hover the mouse pointer over Local Disc C and the GB capacity and in use will be displayed. If you don't have enough just delete some old stuff. Videos and pictures use the most.
use the usb charger and connect it to your computer, turn on your camera and choose connect to computer then click ok/menu,
on your computer click on my computer and double click on the drive that says removable disk (F:), then it will upload all the pictures to your computer you can only view and delete, but if you want to save it to y our computer you have to select all the pictures right click on the mouse and choose copy and save it to your computer or make a new folder on the deskstop.
other way:
if your computer has a memory card slot reader, then take out your memory card from your camera and place it to the computer and again go to your my computer and double click on the removable disk (F:) drive.
Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
