I have an Admiral side by side model LSD2615HEZ that is not cooling. I can hear the hum of the condenser, but do not hear fans kicking on when I turn the temp gauge from 0 to 9. I don't hear a click or anything, which I read I should hear. Does this sound like it would be a bad fan or thermostat?

Do you hear the thermostat control clicking off and on if so turn on set about half way and remove cover from back and see or hear if the compressor and motor are running if not you need to replace the starting components go to a appliance store and buy a 3 in 1 kit and follow the diagram for installation make sure you disconnect the power before working on it. good luck and please leave me feedback so I know it works.

Repeat, corrected model number

Try unplugging the fridge and replugging it in. On this model if it doesn't cool, the display/temperature reading for the unit may start beeping like crazy. Resetting it sometimes fixes this. If you hear the compressor motor kick on, and it doesn't cool within 24 hours, your fridge will need a major repair. If it doesn't turn on at all, you may need a less expensive repair.

Admiral HMG61139 21.1 cu ft Side-by side refrigerator, not cooling. clicking sound every few minutes. (sounds similar to oven thermostat or relay coming on).

Hello,

Thier is one of a couple things going on with your refrig.

The start relay on the compressor is bad so what your hearing is the overload thermostat tripping on and off and keeps trying to start the compressor

The fan motor by the compressor called the condenser fan motor is not running to cool the compressor so once and what you overload keep trying to start the compressor but its too hot to start

Finally the compressor is locked up and the overload still keeps trying to start it but its totally seazed and ain't going to run

I hope this helps you to determine what is wrong with your refrigerator,

Admiral refridgerator model lsd2615hez is making a buzzing sound every 2 minutes. The buzzing sound lasts 20 seconds and everything in the freezer is melting. What could be causing this?

what you are hearing is the compresor trying to start . and can not so the over load is shutting down . and when it cools it will try again .. you need to replace the starting device on the compressor .cost about 80.00 parts .. most models . some are more. and the melting is caused by no comp runing .. this is a very common problem .. hope this helps mm feed back pls .

Our frigidaire window a/c unit (model faa067p7a) does not seem to be operating properly. There is no condensate forming anywhere (beneath the coils is dry and no evidence of water and there is no water...

It sounds like your unit is low on freon or the compressor is not kicking in. If the compressor kicks in you can hear it turn the unit on fan only or turn the thermostat off then turn the unit to demand cool you should hear a hum even vibration when the unit kicks in. If there is no audible hum ect... your compressor is probably not kicking in. The selector switch the temp switch the capacitor for the compressor or the compressor its self could be bad. good luck if you need to know how to test any of the above let us know

Not cooling, fan making noise and now humming

Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

Is the evaporator fan in the freezer running. It blows cold air into the fridge side through a damper in the wall between the freezer and fridge. Make sure the damper is open.

Below the evaporator fan is the evaporator coils. Remove the back cover in the freezer to observe the frost pattern. Light frost everywhere(NORMAL) or a partial pattern of ice(LOW ON FREON) or nothing(LOW FREON OR COMPRESSOR PROBLEM).

Air on heat pump not cool outside unit humming but not kicking on

This could be an inoperative condenser fan.System will kick off on high pressure without proper air flow. The hum indicates voltage is present. Providing the fan motor is not locked up and will spin,Check your run capacitor which helps boost the motor voltage initially and will get it turning. If the cap is good, you may be faced with motor replacement....good luck
