What does dE mean on the samsung sw5asp top loader washing machine

It is an error code of the washing machine it means that the door of the washing machine is unable to look. the only thing to do is to simply reset the washing machine

I had the same problem faulty lid switch..... So meaning when the lid is shut the washer thinks it's open.....I ended up throwing mine out too expensive to fix....
my Samsung washing machine was a recall but found out too late check their recall models you might get it fixed on warranty...

DE = Door Error

What Samsung is attempting to say is: check the door lock assembly, your machine will not spin if it "thinks" the door is open...

On front-load washers, it can stand for "door error", meaning the main control board thinks the door is open. If the door is actually closed and the de error won't clear, the electric door lock could be shorted, giving a false signal to the main control board. On the Samsung top-loader, it means a "child lock error" has happened. On that washer, you will see "CL" or "DE", the washer will auto-drain and an alarm will sound. To clear the error, close the door, turn off the power, then turn it back on.

Hello.. DE Error means door error but if wash cycle is working properly means you need to change your drain motor.

Hi, dE MEANS DOOR ERROR,There is a little magnet that detects if the lid is open or closed & this magnet always falls off into the machine then pumped away. (If it gets past the pump with out jamming it).you can't just buy the magnet you have to buy a whole new top & most of the time this cause's the computer to fail as well

Over-Flow error occurs when the water level is too high. It can be cleared by turning POWER switch OFF. Water is drained prior to POWER switch OFF. The tub is drained for 2 minutes if a frequency of more than 25 KHz is detected.

De means door error and the door lock needs replacing. the part number is DC64-00519B if your model number ends with AAG
