I have a Nikon Coolpix S2500. When the OK button is pressed, the camera acts as if the trash button was pressed the message erase image appears on the screen. This prevents me from changing settings like the flash, time, etc. What is the problem and can it be fixed?

Check for any dust or dirt that could be stuck around any of the buttons on the camera. If the camera is under the impression another button is being pressed (because of dust dirt) then the OK button will not work. If you cannot find any button that seems to be jammed then it maybe the sensor behind the OK button has failed.

For deleting pictures on your Nikon Coolpix L20 please follow the instructions below.
1. Highlight the picture you want to delete on the monitor. 2. Press the delete button ( button on right bottom of LCD monitor having a symbol of an open basket ) 3. A window showing YES or NO for erasing the image is displayed on the monitor 4. Use the multi selector switch ( UP OR DOWN) to select YES 5. Press OK This will delete the picture.To exit without deleting the picture choose NO and press OK.
Press the play button--which features a picture of a solid triangle in the middle of a rectangle--on the backside of the camera.
Press the "menu" button to access the playback menu.
Rotate the multi-selector dial to scroll the menu cursor to the "delete" option represented by a trash can.
Scroll to the option "erase all images" and press the "OK" button on the backside of the camera.
Scroll to the "yes" option on the confirmation dialogue and press the "OK" button on the backside of the camera. If a removable SD memory card is inside the camera, the camera will delete all of the photos on the card. If there is no SD memory card, the camera will delete all photographs in the internal memory.

slap it into the lateral face , force the lens while turn on the camera, pressing OK while turn on the camera, it is risky but if you dont want to go to a shop camera you have to take this risk
Power on your camera.
Press the playback button (bottom left with right arrow in a box) to display a picture.
Press the Menu button (top left) to get to the playback menu.
Scroll down to the Delete selection and press OK.
This will show another screen with a choice for Erase all images. Choose this and press OK. - done!
