I have Model N2750W manufactured on March 2006. Recently started to blank the picture ( sound is OK) on RGB input (or DVI). With reset ( ON-OFF) picture is coming back.
Today started with new problem- on all inputs. Picture is present , but distorted with vertical colour bars, moving across the screen. They are changing and after some time become horisontal short lines. Reset doesn't help.
Picture is completely distorted like very strong electromagnetic field is close. After some time picture is becoming clear, but in blank inputs ( blue screen) I see lower half is having some lines and dots.
More details: cold TV works for few minutes, then flickering, after 10-15 minutes starts to normalize, only few red dots on the lower half.
I am electronic technologist and experienced amateur repairmean, any tip or help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Ok i have a n2751w my screen was going crazy then i restarted it an took out my cable line picture is fine menu buttons work fine but when i put the cable line in it keeps going back to the fuzzy lines someone help please!!
Zdenko did an excellent job. Voltage regulators and
the capacitors on the main boards and in the power supplies are always
suspect.
Some times you can narrow down the culprit buy purchasing a can of
freeze spray. Let the TV warm up and try freezing suspect components to
see if this causes a reaction. Thermal problems can often be found in
this way.
Of course, if you're not able or willing to replace components on the
circuit boards, you can always replace the main board or power supply
board after determining which is causing the problem. These parts
should be available at your local Viewsonic service provider at a
reasonable price.
Replace the scaler board and LVDS cable

i have identical problem. i have a toshiba 42" wlt66 showing vertical colour lines. in the beginning normal picture would come back, but now everytime i turn on tv all i get is this vertical colour shifting. No one on the net seems to know exactly what this is, and more importantly how to solve it, I have a repairman booked now, so hopefully get to the bottom of it soon. surprised at how many people have this problem thought it might just be my bad luck, will keep you all posted if i ever get to the bottom of it.
When the TV is switched on from cold there is sometimes no pic but sound and other times the 'coloured' lines as described by the earlier posting, anyone have a solution so far ?
Problem with Viewsonic 2750W solved! One of the voltage regulators ( 3.5V) for the proccessor ( one with heatsink, upper right-hand siede)was overheating at the start and later stabilizing for some reason. That cause almost total loss of picture with lines on the screen. Regulator is replaced ( main board, uper right-hand corner, close to the processor with heatsink).Cooling is provided on the PCB,
I am the annoyed owner of an almost two year old n2750w that powers up
with left 80% of screen black, right 20% green. The black side also has
some lines at top 1" of screen that slowly descends to about 4" below
top of screen. Sound is ok. After about 5 minutes, an off/on power
cycle will have normal operation. Also, tv seems to ignore most remote
control signals regardless os picture. (new batteries in remote, no
sun/IR in room). I am a electronics tech and will probe the 3.5V.
Probed voltages: 24V, 12V & 4.25V on power supply pcb, 12V converted to 5.09V on main pcb,. 3.33V and 2.50V on main pcb measure the same whether tv works or not.TV takes longer and longer to warm up and start working. Any thoughts?
After dealing with Viewsonic support for two days, I dug up the receipt and took it back to Costco for a full refund! Got a bigger TV and had $50 left over.
