Sometimes it helps to just make a restart of the iPad to get things sorted....
Restart iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

My Kobo Arc 32, asked for a password, when I tried to try the WiFi. I don't remember setting a password. So, now it's asking for an guest password.

It is not the Kobo that has set the password, rather the router for the wifi that you are trying to connect to. You just need to know the password for the router to let you connect. If a router has no wifi password, it is considered unsecured and ANYONE can access it. So most all routers use password protection. If it is YOUR wifi system, and you no longer know the password, you can change it if you access the router setup for wireless and change the password. Be advised, however, that all devices that connect to the wifi will need to change their passwords as well or not be connected. If it is not your wifi you are trying to connect to, then you need to obtain the wifi password from that wifi system's administrator.

I have had Wi Fi on my Kindle Fire and now it will not connect and keeps asking for an IP address

When you connect to Wifi and if it shows "obtaining IP address" means it is searching for the IP address of the wifi sender...
when you connect to internet it is done through IP address so your phone is tying to locate an IP address with which it can connect
to the internet. Below are the steps to connect your device to Wifi:
Applications-->settings-->turn Wifi ON-->select the wifi that you want to connect from the list displayed-->enter the network password(if it asks for) -->connected Another easy way...just open the chrome app in your phone and try typing in some website like google.com when it tries to connect a pop up will appear "try connecting to WiFi ..mobile data will incur charges.." something of that sort...and you can click connect to wifi...and automatically it will detect the wifi that is around your location. You can check for your IP address through Ip-details.com

Try this first....on the tablet go to settings and wifi.let it scan for your known router.once found do not try to connect but look for the arrow on right to try and set dchp etc.you should see a message somewhere on the page " Forget this network" click on it , rescan wifi again.this time your router will ask for the password.re input before timeout and it should be good to go.

How do I set up WIFI tablet

In the settings make sure wifi is enabled so the device can find a wireless signal. When it finds your wifi and you try to use it, it should ask for the wifi security key / code that you have set in the router.

I wifi in my house for multable devices, the Tablet is one of them.well when I powered the tablet on it ask me for password or pin the only problem with that is I never set on up and I have no book for

Probably your WiFi home network is password-protected. You are asked to enter the network password , not the tablet's password. If you are asked about a pin, it means that the tablet is trying to connect to WiFi in WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) mode. You may find the network password in the set up guide of the wireless modem/router. The pin may be on a sticker affixed to the router. You enter the password or the pin, not both.
