How do i get black n white to color

I would check the configuration in the main menu. If set to the wrong colour system or incorrectly set to R-b etc then it will not display colour.

Before you set up try a reset

as far as advanced settings are concerned, set the contrast backlight and brightness so you can see the best blacks without it looking too milky, the best whites so you can discern the whites and they aren't clipped, then look at colour balance if it looks wrong when you turn the colour off.

it could be your flux capacitor is out. you might need to plug it in goto menus and check to see if ur runnin 21 gigawatts if not leave it plugged in and off for two days and it should refresh it

It is pretty much junk, sorry to say it but your picture tube went out and it is cheaper to buy a new t.v. My grandpa use to fix them for us for free but he passed:( If you call some where see how much they would charge for a picture tube, I bet it's expensive???

Do a hard reset, there is a setting in the menu to put the set in monochrome mode, i think that is what has happened

pls.set compnent 2 is on and set menu key on remot cantrol select system menu and see on display colour system is not proper . re set colour system is select AUTO and see the pictur is normal and ok.

I presume you have a manual.
The one thing i can think of is change the "picture mode" to "normal", this might solve it.

Is there a setting on there where you can change the picture from color to black and white.

Make sure that your external devices are PAL. If they are sending out the NTSC standard, the picture will be there without color as you are seeing.

Make sure that the color control level is set to the default or 50% to start with. This should be in the Video menu.

The colour for the tuner and for the encoded base-band video uses a circuit area called the colour demodulator. It is possible that this cirucuit area has failed and needs servicing.
