Try to get a one track sound mixer and your problem will be solved.

SOURCE: on/off button broken

You should'nt need a scematic, this happens all the time with the ew100 handhelds. you will need to remove the three star bit screws between the screen and the batteries, pull off the end cover and with a small screwdriver or some long needle nose pliers- put the red button back into the hole from the inside of the cover. Just take care when putting the end cover back on- sometimes its a bit difficult.

SOURCE: Microphone doesn't work on Logitech ClearChat

If the mic mute switch is not on and there is no red light in the mic arm then its likely you have a check in the 'mute mic' box in your sound manager. Open Volume control, choose options->properties-> recording. Check for checks in the boxes and remove them. Also make sure the slider for the mic is about half way up.

SOURCE: AKG PT 80 transmitter stopped transmitting.

So that means the microphone has a problem with the strength of it's signal, which means it has to be serviced. Not sure if it's cost effective, make sure you get an estimate if you choose to have it serviced. Often, it's better to just buy a new one, unless you can fix it yourself.

SOURCE: I have an ew100 wireless

There should be 2 MUTE buttons, one on the mic transmitter and one on the body pack transmitter.

It sounds like one of them is on all the time.

Otherwise it may be that your SQUELCH setting is wrong. Try adjusting that to between 5-15 db.

Here is a link to the Sennheiser Online Support FAQ page about squelch problems but the detailed instructions should be in your User's Manual.

http://www.sennheiser.ca/live/senn/faq/en/14#q88

And here is the Main support page for your EW100 unit:

http://www.sennheiser.ca/live/senn/produit/en/1132

and here is the direct link to your ONLINE USER'S MANUAL:

http://www.sennheiser.ca/live/prod_download/ew100-ENGG3_InstructionsForUse_EN.pdf

Sometimes the MUTE is displayed when the receiver is not getting any radio signal (see page 8 and page 22 of the online user's manual). Again try lowering the squelch.

Good luck and please comment back and rate if this was at all helpful.
Thanks.
Joe.

SENNHEISER EW100 G2 wireless microphone RECEIVER with lcd flashing all the time. Not functional.

Hi Edgar, it is important that the receiver works, because there is a dialogue between the transmitter and the receiver to confirm that they are on the same frequency, that is why the transmitter is blinking, you should repair the receiver and look for the frequency or channel that the transmitter is found and it will stop flashing

After switching off and on last night the volume and mute on stopped responding on Humax remote. IT is PVR9150T and remote RT531B. TV Remote works fine with volume. Humax remote works fine on all exce

Note that this type of device is designed to be left on at all times, so should not be switched off each night. I suspect that it has some slight corruption in the user-settings, so a factory reset may be required.

Sennheiser ew135 mutes at random moments during a show and it also displays MUTE on the LCD screen. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like wireless signal problems...the receiver will mute when it loese signal from the transmitter (mic).
1. Raise the receiver up higher in the performance area.
2. Stay within the recommended range/distance stated in the owners manual.
3. Read "If a problem occurs" section of owners manual...page 31 "MUTE appears on display panel." For some reason I can't link the owners manual here, but sweetwater music has it at the bottom of the Sennheiser ew135 sales page.

I feel that the 'normal' background hiss is a problem that I would like to minimize with the sennheiser IEM 300. I'm currently using the IE 4 ear phones. Would a different/better earset with maybe a...

No, that will not help. The his is a function of the receiver NOT receiving a signal from the transmitter as they apparently do NOT have a "squelch" circuit to mute the receiver noise when no signal is being received. The noise level when no signal is received is pretty high and apparently the volume control is not enough to reduce the hiss.

To solve this, LEAVE the transmitter ON and make yourself a switch at the receiver. DO this using one of those little in line lamp switches that fit on zip cord. Make one on a short length of zip cor with mating connectors to fit the received jack and the headphone plug. Don't worry about unshielded wire as the impedance is very low. Then you use this switch to mute the headphones when you want to. There are other switch types you can use, I am just suggesting what might be readily available to you.

Sennheiser SHOULD have include a mute switch on their unit as turning the power off on the receiver would be a pain. They could have used a volume control with switch to kill the audio line out... simple solution... oversight on their part.

The ew 3000 iem (brand new) is stuck on mute. Tried everything to no avail. Ideas????? Please Help!!!???!!!!

Hello,
To get your transmitter out of mute press the standby button and hold it briefly until "RF Mute Off" appears. Your display should change from red to orange and the transition icon will also be displayed again. This indicates your transmitter is transmitting.

Broken On/Off Switch

Yes, the switch is available from Sennheiser parts, and if you can get to it and know how to work with SMD's, it's quite easy.
