SOURCE: keep printing test sheets

A lot of HP printers print a page to enable the print head alignment and calabration. This normally orcurs when a cartridge has been changed. If the alignment page fails then it will reprint alignment page until it can align.

So, you need to get that page it prints and place it on the glass and press scan, then it will complete alignment and be ready to rock.

SOURCE: hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

I have a hp psc 2355xi and i have a paper jam issue after changing ink cartridges , no paper visibly jammed

hi there!

it may have damaged the feed mechanism, this usually happens when theres a paper jam and we just pull it out. try powercycling the printer (unpug power cord from the printer and from the wall outlet too) leave it for 2mins, plug it back in to the printer first then to the wall outlet. if that dont work, ive posted the link for that printer here, check out the manuals and troubleshooting steps too, they're all for free. you can also contact 800-HP invent or 800-474-6836.

Check paper light is blinking. No paper jam exists, have cleaned rollers but printer will not grab paper. Have tried replacing with fresh paper but no result. Will not print test page, gives same error.

Paper jams can occur for a variety of reasons but are usually paper related. Follow the steps below to clear the paper jam:
1) Turn off the all-in-one and unplug the power cord. With the power off, the paper feed rollers will turn.
2) Open the rear access door of the all-in-one by pressing in on the left side of the access door and then pulling it toward you.
NOTE: All paper jams must be removed by pulling the paper out the back of the all-in-one using the rear access door. Pulling the paper out the front of the all-in-one rotates the paper feed rollers in the wrong direction and can lead to additional problems.
3) From the rear access door opening, gently pull the jammed paper free.
4) Remove the remaining paper from the paper supply tray. Discard any paper that is damaged or crumpled and then re-stack and reload the paper into the paper supply tray.
Do not continue to push the paper in after some resistance is felt. If the paper is pushed in too far, more than one page will feed into the all-in-one at a time.
5) Reattach the rear access door by inserting the two pins on the right of the door into the holes for them and then pressing in gently but firmly on the left side.
6) Reconnect the power cord to the unit and turn the unit on.
7) if it does not work ... clean the rollers from the rear door of the printer
8) try different wall outlets..
9) then do a power drain by unplugging the power chord from the back of the printer. press and hold the power button for 30 sec and then replug the power chord.
10)if issue does not get resolved service the product

"Check color cartridge" error message

Try resetting the printer to factory defauts. Hold down the # and 6 buttons. Pull out the power cable while holding these buttons down. Keep your fingers on these buttons and put back the power cable. It should now show (full/partial reset). Follow the prompts and setup all your original features. If this fails then you might have a hardware problem.(Carriage assembly or Cartridge Holder)
