How many cubic feet is my kenmore dryer model 110.79812990

The capacity of a dryer is measured by its drum volume in cubic feet. Measure the depth of the dryer from the back to the door opening. Measure the diameter of the dryer. Divide the diameter by two to find the radius. Calculate the size of the dryer by squaring the radius and multiplying by the depth.

Kenmore dryer 86984810

pi r squared * depth to calculate this mathematically. Get a tape measure and measure the distance of the center of the drum to the edge, multiply that by itself. Then multipky that by 3.14. then measure from the back of the drum to the front edge and multiply by that. For example the dryer is 24 inches deep and has a 12 inch radius. 12 times 12 is 144 times 3.14 this is 452.16 times 24 equals 10851.84 cubic inches. divide that by 1728 to get cubic feet. You can do this in feet instead so it is easier. http://www.ehow.com/how_5622710_measure-dryer.html

Problem with Washing Machines Something stuck /rattling in washing machine plastic divider Inside drum

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

MY DRYER HEATS ALL THE TIME IT IS PLUGGED IN..I HAVE TO KEEP IT UNPLUGGED SO IT WON'T HEAT..IT HAS GOTTEN SO HOT THAT IT HAS MELTED PART OF ONE OF THE PLASTIC DIVIDERS IN THE DRUM..WHAT WOULD BE THE...

This could potentially be a very dangerous situation. If you would forget, leave clothes or something else flammable on top of the dryer and leave the dryer plugged in, you could come home to a house burned to the ground, not even considering what could happen if someone was in the home at the time. If it has been hot enough to melt one of the clothes tumblers inside the drum, it could, conceiveably have been hot enough to have melted some of the insulation off some of the wiring inside the unit. The only way to tell for sure would be to disassemble the unit to have it inspected, which could cost a fair sized bill in itself, not to mention what it could cost to replace that wiring. In light of this I would suggest just starting a search for a new dryer. Sorry.

Maytag neptune dryer one of the dividers the screws came loose how can I fix this without calling for service

You are probably referring to the drum baffles. The baffles securing screws can be retightened by raising the top which requires the removal of the front panel. Click on the link below for the detailed steps.

2 of the 3 dividers in the dryer drum has come off. How do I screw them back in?

You have to disassemble the dryer partially to get the dividers back on.

There are two screws holding the door on, and it is slightly hooked in, take it off.

Take off the two screws on the opposite side.

Remove the front panel, pull out lift off tabs on bottom.

There are two hooks at top corners holding top down, 5/16 bolts I think on each side.

This allows room to reattach dividers when you raise top up, screws that came out should be laying on bottom of dryer. About two in each one, find four screws. Turn drum by hand to align for reattaching the dividers.
Important that you have unplugged and watch out for sharp edges.

Bra wire stuck between the drums in hotpoint WD440 Aquarius washer dryer

Look all around the inner tub with a torch , if you spot the wire sticking through grasp it firmly with pliers and pull out , dont let it go , if it slips completely between drums it is more difficult to get to.
