Nothing yet,I want to know if Ican hook the subwoofer into my Sony receiver and how? Thsnks
The Jensen JS650 does not accept line level input so you need to use the Front B speaker output from your Sony receiver and not the RCA subwoofer output. Even though your subwoofer is active, it does not support line level (RCA) signals.
Just connect the subwoofer as you would a pair of speakers. Once connected, you make sure the front panel speaker switch on the Sony is set to A+B so you get sound from your existing speakers (A) and subwoofer (B).
I hope that works for you.

sometimes these subwoofers are for builtin amplified subwoofers..so if this is the case it will not work

Just answered that question for you in another post, but here it is again in case you miss it.
Hi there, Is the socket actually broken, or is it just playing up. It may just need some dry solder joints reflowed to fix it. If you are lucky, this may be done without a full strip down.
If you need to replace it, you will have to pull the board out of the unit, or at least the back panel completely off to get access to the soldering of the socket to replace it. This is not a difficult job, but often requires almost complete disassembly of the amp to do so. Time consuming...yes. It is something that unless you have some confidence at dismantling and reassembly gear, I would suggest that you refer it to a repair man. Good luck, I am happy to answer any more questions you may have.

Graeme
SOURCE: Can I connect a active subwoofer to my SONY
Yes, it only supports an Active Subwoofer. That's what the Sub Pre-Out is for.
Your sub will take that input, possibly split to two RCA connectors, and its internal amplifier will do the rest. Its own manual will give the specifics.
SOURCE: HELLO HOW TO CONNECT SUBWOOFER TO SONY
It would depend a lot on what type of subwoofer you have and it wouldn't be pretty.
According to the manual I found it doesn't have a Woofer Output so it isn't designed to route Low Frequencies anywhere.
Even if you rigged an Active Subwoofer to it using the Tape Output you wouldn't have central volume control for it unless the (unnamed) Sub was driven by speaker-level outputs from the Front A or B Speaker posts on the receiver.
Your question would be better framed and answered if we knew the details of the Sub and referred to ITS manual.

read the manual

First, it must be a self-powered subwoofer, then you've got some settings to select in the receiver.
