Question about Hobart A200 Stand Mixer
Sounds like you over tightened the main shaft nut to much and crushed the brass slip bushings. If they are crushed it will not allow the gears to slip. Only way out is to replace the bushings.

my guess is that you didn't reassemble the gears properly.
