Now, if you don't find it so easy to replace those bearings or you are not sure if this is your problem, call a repair service
Hi just read your posting. Now put the machine to a spin cycle and push start,Does the noise happen in this cycle? If the noise doesn't happen then try a cold water fill but turn the hot tap off first. If the noise still doesn't happen then try a hot water fill but turn the cold water off first. This noise sounds like one of your water valves is faulty. Please reply with additional information on the questions and I am sure we can rectify this fault.
Hi Tom. if the noise is a loud SCREECH that almost sounds like a wounded bird, you need to replace the water pump. The part is easy to replace with no tools and you can get one from Fisher Paykel Parts: http://fisherpaykelparts.net/index.php?categoryid=111&productid=3
Eileen, If the screeching is only happening on the fill and not during agitation or spin, I think we are safe to rule out the belt, pulley and bearing. Remove the fill hoses from the back of the washer and check to see if you have sand or gunk caught in the screens of the valve itself. If they are clear sounds like the water passing through the valve is making the noise. Another thing to check is the water pressure in the house. It should be around 55 psi., 75 psi max. I have seen it as high as 120psi with a bad regulator. This will cause noise and all kinds of problems. The part number for the fill valve is 131389300, according to the model posted....Catriver...post back.
