When I sew the bobbin thread is not making a stitch. What would cause this problem?

If needle or arm is not moving ensure bobbin reload is switched off as this often disconnects main function.

The top of the machine is not threaded correctly. First raise the presserfot then rethread the machine. Bottom looping is usually caused by a lack of top tension. There could allso be a bur on the hook.

its the problem of the timing belt in your machine its extra loosen or extra tightned or is slightly came out of its position or finally broken.
as the machine is proper just missing the proper speed as it should be .
it is running continuosly as you stated.
check the timing belt and make it proper if its worn out and needs replacement this is how its done

There is an adjusting screw on the right side of the machine head. Follow the motor bracket to the machine head and loosen that big old screw or bolt which will raise or lower the motor giving you slack to remove or replace the belt.

The "race" on your machine needs adjusting. Remove the bobbin cover, bobbin, & case. What you have left is the race, it moves when you turn the large wheel on the top right of machine. The needle also moves up and down. There is a hook on the race that catches the needle thread. Try moving the race to the line up with the needle. It may take a couple of trys but it should do the trick. Also clean any threads that may be caught on or arround the race. Hope this helps!

The tread only breaks in the needle. what can i do . i don't get to sew anything . I tread the needle and get everything ready and start the machine and as quickly as that the tread is broken and the machine has not sewn at all.

When putting your shirring elastic on the bobbin, don't thread the elastic through the bobbin holder,adjust the stitch length longer,and loosen the tension, other wise if you want to put it through the bobbin holder you have to loosen the tension screw on the bobbin holder, and then you have to adjust it back for ordinary sewing,

Does it sew more than a few stitches or break right away?

Is top thread nesting on bottom (wrong) side of fabric? (Hint; use different color thread than bobbin)

Check top thread tension; Set tension 4. With foot up make a long steady pull of top thread. Then place foot down and make another long steady pull. There should be notable difference in tension between foot up (no tension) and foot down (tension setting 4).

Remove bobbin and hook. Check hook and bobbin case for burrs. Clean hook race area.

My Bernette 715 isn't picking up the bobbin thread and is getting jammed. Any ideas what's wrong?
First thing to always try: Install a brand new needle. A dull, worn, or bent needle will cause great frustration. It is also the least expensive resolution to most problems.

Second: Remove all the threads. RAISE the presser foot. Rethread from the beginning making sure it is threaded correctly.

I tried the free style quilting on my Q10 and now it wont sew properly on the regular side. When I set it on a 4, or any number for that matter,the underneath is in tiny stitches. is there a proper se
make sure the thread is coming off the thread spool easily,, also make sure the top thread is pulling easy thru the tension disc,,

take the bobbin out of the bobbin case and put it back in the bobbin case--make sure the bobbin is turned counter clock-wise

keep working with the top thread tension,, also try some unwaxed dental floss on the tension disc if possible,, and the try setting the tension to 4 or 5 and see if that helps,,, but if you go thru all the top thread tension numbers and still the stitches don't change then you may have to have the machine checked

How do you adjust the bobbin
Hello

Set the tension on the sewing machine for the weight of the material you want to sew. The tension setting shows in the stitch on the material. Use the chart on the machine that matches types of stitches with suggested material tensions. An example of this is, the stitch to sew jean material is different than the stitch to sew silk.

Take the bobbin and wind the thread around it. Make sure the bobbin is empty and don't fill it too full of thread. A bobbin filled too full won't stay tightly spun.

Thread the string evenly on the bobbin. Move the thread back and forth evenly and in layers that are level. Many Singer sewing machines have a bobbin winder on the top of the sewing machine, and the consistency of how it threads can save you frustration later.

Find the hole on the bobbin that is located near the inside spindle of the bobbin. Take the thread sitting on the sewing machines spool and insert the thread in the hole from inside the bobbin to the outside. Set the threaded bobbin on the spool designated for spinning on the top of the sewing machine for some Singers.

Turn the side drive wheel slowly until the threaded bobbin has a layer or two of thread on it. Push down on the drive peddle and fill the bobbin, but don't thread it to the very edge. If the bobbin is too full the thread will release erratically. Cut the thread from the spool.

Drop the bobbin into the bobbin case under the area where the needle sews the material. Close the case and turn by hand the side wheel drive until the bobbin threads into the sewing machine. You can tell when the bobbin is threaded by the tiny piece of thread that juts out of the bobbin case where the needle goes up and down.

Grab the thread with your fingers and pull it out approximately 4 inches. Your bobbin is now spun and threaded.

Have a CG 500......the stitches pucker.. I have adjusted .the tension..but the only way to prevent this is to put the tension on 0............then this does not make good stitch.HELP
Try rethreading the top thread thru the tensioner. Make sure the presser foot is in the up position during threading, and as you go thru the tensioner you may need to pull the thread back and forth lightly to help it settle in the tension discs.

Also check the type of bobbin being used. Drop in bobbin machines need bobbins with rounded sides (class 66).

re thread the top and bobbin threads

after pulling up the bobbin thread pull both threads to the back and hol them when stitching the first few stitches

with out holing the threads the machine will pull the thread into the machine and bunch the thread

Loose bottom stitch on brother se 350
Hi, general rule of thumb:: loops on the top, problem on the bottom.. Loops on the bottom, problem is on the top.. When threading your machine, stop just before you thread your needle, put the presser foot down. Try pulling the thread. If it pulls easily, the thread is not thru the tension wheel right. If it pulls hard, you got it right.

Underneath stitch bad
Sometimes even though the tension is at recommeded placement, you may find with various fabrics or threads, you have to adjust it. I would try to raise the tension just a bit. Try it a little at a time until you achieve a stitch you are happy with. If adjusting the tension does not correct the problem, double check your threading. If sure it is threaded properly, especially going through the tension assembly...check your thread. I have found that the thread you use can and often does create tension problems. Try changing the thread and see if the stitch quality improves.

BOTTOM STITCH IS ALWAYS LOOSE
If the top stitch is loose, then you need to tighten the bobbin tension: if the bottom stitch is loose, tighten the top tension. Hope this helps. It could also be the size needle and thread you are using for a particular fabric. Different fabrics require different notions.
