SOURCE: maximum memory size of sd-card for canon ixus 40 ????

Check to see if your 16GB card is an SDHC card. If it is, your camera is not compatible with SDHC. (The SDHC protocol was developed after the SD300 came out in 2004).

SOURCE: Canon Power Shot A400 will only work with original Canon SD card

Make sure you are using an SD card and not an SDHC card. The SDHC protocol is newer than your camera, and your camera does not support it. SD cards have capacities up to 2 GB. Your camera should work properly with any SD or MMC card.

Tablet claims to be out of memory but uninstalling apps doesn't free up any space. Even with 32GB SD card is says not enough room for new apps.

Hi Sarah,

There are TWO memory locations on your tablet. One is the removable SD memory card. This location is used alomost exclusively to STORE applications and data. The other location is the memory INSIDE the tablet. This memory is NOT removable.

Like the removable memory, the internal memory is used to store applications and data; but it also used to RUN the applications. Some applications MAY run on the SD card, but most require the internal memory. You should MOVE stored DATA (pictures, reports, music, videos, etc.) from the internal memory to the SD card. Next, move applications to the SD card too. You may find that most will not work or move - in which case they must remain on the internal memory.

Next, UNINSTALL applications that you never use and REVIEW the others to determine if the amount of use they get is worth the storage space you lose by keeping them. You may have a large amount of space available after doing these suggestions and you may find your tablet runs faster, too.

Good luck!

Purchased Canon FS-20 camcorder last week to take on vacation to Disney World. Used it first day for 3 hours off and on then got error message: ''Cannot access internal memory''. Will not record even with...

I've got the same problem, also with a brand-new Canon Legria FS 20. As Canon told me, I took it to a Canon office to be repaired. It was repaired. I tried filming and it worked. Then I tried to view this film and I got the same error message again: cannot access internal memory. I also can't film anymore now. I'll call Canon now and ask them what to do. Repairing didn't help, I want a new cam, but I'm not sure the FS 20 is a good choice. There seems to be a problem with it.

Internal memory to sd card

I don't know your camera; but... Before we assume anything about your camera we should check that SD card in another SD device that we know is working. your camera should default to the SD Card like most devices, which are able to use both simultaneously. It seems likely that something might have happened to the SD card if that is the only one you have tried in your camera. food for thought
