Do I have to use k-pods exclusively

No as long as they say they are keurig compatible they will work. You can also purchase empty reusable pods that you can fill with your favorite ground coffee of loose leaf tea.

How do I get water out of the inner tank of my B60 Keurig?

Turn off and unplug the Keurig brewer. Remove the water reservoir from the machine, empty it into the sink and place aside.

Move the machine to the side of the sink with the back hanging over the sink. Locate the drain cap on the back of the machine, and remove the drain cap.

Empty the water into the sink. Do not tilt the machine more than 90 degrees while emptying to make sure all water drains. Replace the drain cap. Place the machine back on your counter or in storage if you do not plan to use it.

Cannot prime

I have the same unit. You need to descale it. Get a bottle of white vinegar (not the small bottle, the next size up). Unplug your Keurig. Empty out the water receptacle and flip your unit over in the sink to remove any residual water in your unit (I even shake mine a little to loosen up whatever is stopping it from priming. Fill the water receptacle to the top with white vinegar. Plug in the Keurig and turn it on. Cycle the unit (lift the lever, close it, push the button) and fill a cup with heated vinegar. Pour the cup out and continue until all the vinegar is gone, then fill the receptacle and keep doing this (I do it until the receptacle has emptied itself at least 3 times). If your Keurig will not allow you to cycle through this then the problem is internal with the pump. Call Keurig. If you are in your warranty period they will replace.
