SOURCE: bought nikon d2x but some of the setting are lock. How to unlock

The camera is probably in Auto Mode. Set it to manual and you can change your ISO, Shutter, and Apeture settings.

Nikon d2x brilliant camera but i can use it get great results turn it off leave it over night then in the morning wen i use it i focus in on sumthing click snd the lcd preview remains black i thought lcd...

Could be several issues.

Are you shooting in manual exposure "M"ode? If so, are you trained on adjusting your exposure so that you are getting the correct exposure? Sorry, that's pretty basic, but I need to ask. If you don't know about manual mode, put the camera in "A"perture Priority and try it.

Next, try a different lens. The one you're using may be faulty and the blades failing to open intermittently.

Finally, could be that the camera is faulty and requires Nikon Service to test it out.

D2x won't work when a lens is attached

Did you try to reset the camera to factory settings? Won't work, does that mean everything stays out? Or you can't make a picture and still view pictures you made? Is there an error in the display, like fEE. That would be caused by the sensor, looking if your diaphragmatic setting on the lens is locked on the smallest aperture. Could be dust, or worse the sensor is damaged. Then the camera must be repaired.

Nikon D2X Not powering up anymore - shorted/blown DC board?

do a master reset, holding WB and ISO buttons down together for more than two seconds will reset camera settings.

then replace the clock battery, let it sit with no batteries for a bit.

try to plug it into an external power supply: EH6 if you have one.

i have had most every digital nikon having shot them since the D1 rolled out, and have never had one just crash and die.

I hope this helps, good luck and sorry.

Nikon D2X camera dropped it takes pictures intermittently.

i'd take or ship the camera to Nikon, or an authorized Nikon service center, for repair. you're unlikely to get around this problem any other way. good luck...
