Do you want to resize the photo to match the resolution of your computer screen? (For example, to use as wallpaper.) If so you can try several free programs such as GIMP or Google Picasa.

GIMP has many features from basic to advanced. Picasa is excellent for adjusting, resizing and orhanizing all of your photos. Both are 100% free and trustworthy.

How do I increase the font size on my computer screen

You can reduce resolution by right-clicking the desktop and picking display settings. Go down to screen resolution and decrease. There is also a setting there to change just the font sizes, if you want to maintain resolution.

Wide screen stretches all my photos

Wide screen monitor distortionDepending upon the screen resolution that has been set inDisplay, the image will be distorted on these large wide screen monitors.
Create a large circle image using a draw program such as Paint (hold down theShift key as you create the circle as it will draw a perfect circle).
Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and adjust the Screen resolutionslider, increase or decrease the screen resolution then bring the circle imageto the front and check the image, if the circle is still distorted then changethe screen resolution and check the circle again until you are satisfied withthe image of the circle. When you are satisfied then click apply.

My used DEL 2300 MP doesn't seem to be compatible with my Compaq PResario CQ60. It keeps searching for a signal? Any suggestions?

Decrease the screen resolution of your computer to the minimum possible value and check.
Probably the projector does not support the resolution of the laptop. With a lower resolution it might work.

I am getting an "Out

The resolution of your computer screen (monitor) is too much for the projector.
Decrease the resolution (say 1024 x 768) and check.
It if alone doesn't help, decrease the refresh rate of the screen.
But most probably reducing the screen resolution will be enough to overcome the problem.

When i scanned a 2-page text document using productivity suite's "scan to pdf", it created a 48 MB file which is way larger than it should be, and much too large to send via e-mail. any...

You can try to update your printer driver by downloading the Lexmark X7170 driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/fWPweq. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.
You can also try to decrease the scan resolution. Launch Lexmark All-In-One Center application on your computer. Select Scan mode > See More Scan Settings > lower the scan resolution value to 200 or 150 dpi. Note: This will decrease the scan file size and affect the scan output.
Or you can use a third party scan software to decrease scan file size. You can search the web for free scan softwares.

No date stamp on photos on Canon XTi camera

Most Canons don't seem to be able to embed the date on photos unless the resolution is set to "postcard mode", which is 1600 by something pixels. Set to that resolution, and then try to set the date mark feature (it will be greyed out when the resolution is not set to a compatible mode).

How to enlarge a picture that is scanned or copied? When i scan or copy a picture it is too small and I want to enlarge it in order to view it better.

hi

Open an image. Go to the Image Menu and select Image Size. This is where you can change an image’s resolution and print size (width and height). The following Image Size dialog box will appear:
image_size_cs.gif
Notethat the width and the height of the image as you view it on yourmonitor is not necessarily representative of the image’s actual widthand height—i.e., the size it would print out at (print size).Average monitor resolution is 72 dpi. If you view a 72 dpi image at100% in Photoshop, chances are that it will appear on your screen inits actual print size. However, this is not true when viewing a 300 dpiimage. A 300 dpi image viewed on-screen at 100% will be enormous. Don’tget tricked into believing that what you see on your monitor is whatyou’ll get when you print or place the image into another application. The best way to determine what your image’s actual print size will beis through the Image Size dialog box.
When the Resample Imagebox is checked, any changes you make to an image’s width or height willnot change the image’s resolution, and as such, any changes you make toan image’s resolution will not affect the image’s width and height.Keep in mind, however, when you increase width and height, orresolution, with the Resample Image box checked, you are adding pixelsto your image. These pixels don’t actually exist so Photoshop mustcreate them. As such, you will succeed only in degrading the quality ofyour image.
If you want to increase an image’swidth and height, or resolution, then uncheck the Resample Image box.Now any changes you make to the image’s width and height will changethe image’s resolution, and vice versa:
  • If you decrease resolution, the width and height will increase.
  • If you increase resolution, the width and height will decrease.
  • If you increase the width or height, the resolution will decrease.
  • If you decrease the width or height, the resolution will increase.
Thebest way to increase the width and height of a scanned image is to scanthe image in at a high resolution (about twice what your finalresolution should be), and with the Resample Image box unchecked, decrease the resolution. Once the image width and height is where you want it, you can then check the Resample Imagebox and type in the resolution you want if the resolution is too high.At this point, as long as you don’t increase resolution, or width andheight, your image quality will not suffer.

Poor copy quality

there are 3 reason if the copy gray & less sharp:
1) the toner you are using is not compatible very well with the cartridge unit if you changed other compatible toner.
2) the cartridge going near the life-cycle, (also cause print blurred)
3) the photo drum going near the life-cycle
you may try to change the quality toner (original factory). or
change the cartridge if it is out of the life-cycle
