1st you have to hold down the little black button on the collar, when it flashes at you release the button.
-Then press the button again and count the # of flashes.
-Keep pressing the button until you get it set to the desired flashes related to the setting you want to use.
-1 flash- audible correction with no shock.
-2 flashes audible correction with low shock.
-3 flashes audible correction with high shock.
It is always recommended to start with the low shock , if using shock setting, then move to higher setting if needed. Most larger dogs require a high shock setting, I have a yellow lab and use the high setting for him. Hope this helps.

Zareba 5 mile solar fence not putting out power with new battery installed

Any electric fence will have no power if weeds or long grass is up against the fence itself. We even had a big thistle that shorted out our fence and there was no shocking power in the fence itself.

I have Parmak S.E.3 fence charger, it's send energy out into wire but not enough to shock cattle, the unit is around a 7 acre field with 2 lines, what could be the problem?

Grounding is very important for an electric fence, especially in dry soil. I normally drive 2 or 3 - 6 foot long ground rods 10 feet apart then join them all together and run that to the charger using double 14 gauge or 12 gauge copper wire. You can get the roda at Tractor Supply.

Get a shock from the tap while showering

I assume by main power feed your talking about the breaker box? If so make sure the breaker box is actually grounded. Also check inside the heater and make sure the ground wire in there is connected and has a solid connection.

What is the best fence I can use for my dog?

First, try to get a fence made from a durable material like aluminum or a wire fence. Of course you will compromise the looks...
don't get a wooden fence unless it is more expensive since big dogs tend to ruin them

How do i adjust the hear shocks for pillian weight?

This is directly from the 2008 VRSC Service Manual:

Make sure both shocks have the same preload.

The average weight solo rider might use the extended spring
preload position (adjustment setting 1 or 2).

1. Place the shock absorber adjustment tool around the lower
collar of the shock absorber.

2. Turn the collar clockwise (toward higher numbers) to
increase the preload or pressure.

Use the adjustment setting numbers as a reference for equal
adjustment of shock absorbers on both the right and left side
of the motorcycle. A heavy solo rider might require additional
preload or pressure (adjustment setting 3).

Adding a passenger may require maximum preload (adjustment
setting 5).

Turn the collar counterclockwise to decrease the preload or
pressure.

We have 2.2 miles of fence, the charger is good for 30 miles. We have a 8 ft ground rod by the charger. the fence is a continues loop. positive wire to fence, negative to ground. meter on the charger says it...

You have got to make sure there are no weeds or brush at all touching the hot wire. Nothing can touch it or it pulls the voltage level way down. Do a full inspection of line.
