SOURCE: HP officejet 7410 all-in-one printer compatibility with Windows 7

Read the last comment on this blog about your printer. At the time that model was manufactured, Windows 7 was not apparantly listed or verified. I think they have updated their drivers, so update your drivers per the blog instructions. Good luck, hope this works for you!

Basically removing power is all you have to do to reset the printer. However, if you need any other information, here is the link to HP for your printer: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=391194&

HP Officejet 7410 is not responding in any way. No power; no life. Is there anything I can do to reset the printer without the printer getting any power?

Step two: Perform a semi-full reset CAUTION: Performing a semi-full reset deletes any saved phone numbers on the product.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
and it will reset the printer

HP Officejet 7410 prints OK, but copy and fax comes out black all but 1 inch

The problem is on the scanner...
You have to change "scanner assembly". But... here in Greece this unit has not spare parts.... The repair procedure is "unit exchange". You have to contact HP Service in order to inform you if they can change only the scanner assembly and not whole unit... You can call telephone support.

Officejet 7140xi print problem

Try getting the printer to re-initialize itself, also make sure that the copper contacts on the cartridge and printhead are clean.
You may be able to fix this issue by unplugging the unit while it is on and holding the # and 6 while plugging the unit back in (semi full NVM reset)
