Yyou may have to get it serviced where they service Samsung. It may need to be re FLASHED or a part replaced. You can try a hard rest. You may loose anything saved on it though.
Hard Factory Reset Samsung SCH-S738C
Turn OFF the device completely.
In the same time, press and hold Power button, Home button and Volume Up button for several seconds.
Release Power button only when Samsung logo appear on the screen.
Release the rest button when Android logo appear, the recovery menu will appear.
Because there is a pattern pw set up on the phone you will have to do a hard reset. Unfortunately a hard reset will erase all downloads, uploaded programs or any cool stuff that was added to the phone; so in essence you will be wiping it clean...like a brand new phone.
If you're still with me, please follow these steps:
Turn off the device
Remove the battery for about 10 seconds, remove sim card and sd card then reinsert all the battery being last.
Press and hold Volume Up button and Power Button simultaneously till the screen turns up and Samsung logo blinks for two times.
Then release the power key but keep the Volume Up key pressed till you see Android system recovery screen.
select wipe data / factory reset using Volume Down key to highlight.
If you're starting from a factory reset, or from a new phone. There should be a setup wizard that allows you to input your Google Account, Samsung Account, Twitter etc.
If you're on a second hand phone, transferring users or the like, go into your system settings, there will be a section for Accounts. The menu location changes depending on your version of Android. In 4.2.2 it's a direct tab at the top labelled accounts.
Go into Accounts. Pull all existing accounts. Remove them. Then add your accounts.
After all your accounts are synced. Your Google and Samsung profiles should pull and allow you to customize your software via their respective app stores.
My Samsung SCH-S738C, through Straight Talk, "freezes up" all the time. The only way to resolve it is to take out the battery but even that may take anywhere from 1-4 or 5 attempts to get it up and running. Seems to be happening more and more. Any solution would be appreciated.
