I have an IT works wireless mouse but i dont have a pairing code,can i get a generic one?

Try this
> (Go To) Control Panel > Bluetooth Devices
If your device is already there
Highlight device then in menu bar select Remove Wireless devise
Click on Yes

When device removed or if it was not there in the first place
> Add Wireless Device
When computer finds your device select it
Click on Next
Choose Pair without CODE
Click on Next.
Computer should then install drivers

This works with my Sony VGP-BMS33

I'm sorry for your frustrations, yes, computers can do that.

batteries good in this new mouse? put in top brand batteries.
some that come with a mouse are (bottom barrel cheap batteries or are really old and bad from long time on a shelf)

then make sure the DEVICE manager shows the mouse as present.
steps, (generic) (your mousemaker.com will have better advice)

1: be connected to the internet is first, (after good batteries)
2: then plug in the mouse & USB dongal,
3: here w7 DINGDONG! sound, and then see it try to do PnP
windows, will attempt to find the correct driver for it on the internet.
and if lucky, ( what mouse did you buy?) the W7 finds it and loads this special driver, be aware there are vast makers of mice.
on mine took like 5min to load a BluTooth driver too,
IF this fails. go to CP, control panel
then click device manager.
then see all devices on your system.
look for bad devices or missing.
red. or yellow is missing <marks there.
so. see this, if you see ANY errors here, fix them all first.
right click any and then pick "update driver software"
make sure no USB errors either. this mouse may take 3 working drivers to work (usb-bluetooth-mouse)!! non trivial that...


also if the NEW mouse came with? a CD for drivers? ,use that.

I have windows vista,
you don't need a pairing code, this is what worked for me:
Go on control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Bluethooth Devices, then click on Add Wireless Decive. It will open a window and you will see the mouse there (if you dont' see it, click on the pairing button of your mouse). Then, don't double-click on the icon because it will ask you to enter the pairing code! Instead, right-click on it and choose ''properties''.
It will open the properties, then go to ''Services'', it will search the services you device offers. When the service appears, select the check box. It will install you mouse on your computer!! then click ''OK''.
There you go!

Not really a code, just first press button on top of your receiver and then the button on the bottom of the mouse. The receiver LED should stay green when they are connected. If this does not happen check that you are using IntelliPoint Mouse Software. See more:

make sure that the computer and the mouse is paired properly. delete the pairing first and redetect the mouse again.

You choose your own code. It's a keyboard right? So it has numbers on it...and an Enter key.
1. Press and hold in the small button next to Bluetooth symbol under the keyboard for 5 seconds. The charge indicator lights at the top of the keyboard should alternate flashing red then green.
2. Search for Bluetooth devices on the devices you wish to connect the keyboard to. The Keyboard should be listed there.
3. Enter a code of your choice into the device you are paring the keyboard to and submit it. I used a 4 digit number which worked without a problem.
4. Type the same code and press Enter on the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 Keyboard.
The keyboard should now be paired with your device.

Install fresh batteries, turn it on and make sure your bluetooth dongle is installed and active. If you have never paired this mouse with it's receiver, then you will have to put them both into pairing mode, and once paired you should have no problems.
