Brother 1510 replace toner problem

Assuming you have tried to replace an empty toner with a new or refilled toner cartridge. Some of these machine simply fail to recognise the reset activation lever on the side of the cartridge. You could try removing the end cap at the geared end. You will find a half moon shaped gear which needs to be lifted out slightly and rotated a quarter turn clockwise. replace any other gears and refit the cover. This resets the toner cartridge to "new" state. If you printer doesn't recognise this, you will need to get a manual reset keycode from brother. Please note - some folk reset used cartridges this way and re-use them. Used toner will contaminate the drum and give poor print. Any residual contaminated toner on the drum can contaminate a new cartridge and so-on. Refilled cartridges are fine if the cartridge is completely cleaned out first.

Brother dcp 1510 says toner ended while changing new cartridge

Hello, my name is Steve. I believe that the Toner is a "New" out of the box from Brother?

This is very critical, since there is a resetting flag that is incorporated in the initializing process of the the printer.

this flag resets the toner back to "0".

I hope this assists you, Best regards,Steve
