That is a mystery. It should probably say 38-26 or 38-40 or maybe 38WCF.

I have a Marlin model 93 lever action rifle which no one can seem to identify. I would like to know the date of manufacture.

I went google and typed in --marlin rifle model 93 year and identification marks -- and many sites come up
one site I opened is marlin manufacture dates-antique and collectable firearms--
oldguns,net>sn_php>marlinlookup
This site is where you can enter your serial number and submit and it should give you details
There are many other sites that you can surf that may give you what you want

I have a marlin with serial # 40627. it says 32w on the barrel . what 32w mean?

Your Marlin lever action rifle was made in 1890. Given the time period, it was most likely the .32-20 Winchester cartridge, also known as the .32WCF. The only other option was the .32 Winchester Special or .32WS, but this was not introduced until 1901.

What is the value of a Winchester 1892 lever action rifle with a serial number of 200801

It depends entirely on what 'good shape' actually means to a gun collector. All the variation-- Is it a rifle or carbine? What caliber? They were made in 25-20, 32-20, 38-40 and 44-40.

What year of mfg.108125 ?

Do you know what model it is?

Beings it's a .22, I'm thinking it's a Model 4, but usually those were a 22 1/2" barrel length.

1890-1933
Total production - approximately 356,000

If it's a "take-down" model, it COULD be a Model 6.

1901 - 1933
Numbers 00001 - 498,000

As far as serial numbers, a lot of them had the serial number on the side of the top tang, visible only with the action out of the stock.
Not all Remington serial numbers were consectutive for the model.
Military models were often numbered by the contract and commercial guns marked with batch numbers having little relationship to the time of manufacture.
