I have a top load samsung washer and for a while now it will give me a dc error code and won't spin all the water out of the clothes? Need help thank you

If your Samsung top loader is starting to spin, but stops after a minute or two, and starts to fill up with water again... and then after 3 times of doing this, it errors out with a DC error code, the problem could very well be with the support rods. The springs in these rods will get weak over time and allow the drum to become unbalanced during the spin cycle. Fortunately, the 4 support rods are very easy to take out and replace. And sometimes, they just need to be greased properly. I had a service technician replace my support rods, but he didn't grease the top and bottom bushings first, so my machine still wouldn't spin properly. After he left, I pull one of the support rods out, cleaned out the dried up grease where the support rods lock in, and applied a liberal amount of white lithium grease to the top and bottom bushings on the support rod. I then put it back in. I did the same for the 3 remaining support rods. Now the support rods were able to move very freely in their holders, which is necessary during the spin cycle. My machine now spins like it is supposed to and I don't get the re-fills and DC error code anymore. This webpage, http://www.appliancepartspros.com/samsung-assy-damper-owm-dc97-16350c-ap5623264.html , contains a video that shows you how to remove, inspect and grease your support rods properly. It is not hard to do, but can be a bit messy. Have gloves and/or cleaning rags handy. And if you do need new support rods, this place has them cheaper than you can get them from Samsung!!!!

Flashing light

If the cycle completes and your clothes are clean this is no issue. If the former does not happen. Then return to the store and get another machine.

If your machine is a FAV6800A or FAV9800A I think you have a clutch malfunction See the last couple of post in this forum related to dc errors or the many hundreds of post related to this issues. If you can confirm the model type for me. So many folks post non FAV6800A and FAV9800A T/L issues in this forum. If it's that model I will come back to you with the DIY process to save your machine and you $$$ over a repair bill. If you don't want to DIY the fix I will give you info to speed the repair and control cost somewhat.....Rich

Washer won't start cycle after door is closed

Try taking the top of the machine off and checking all of the electrical connections, including the one to the door lock. I have to do this about once a month with my machine and it seems to work.
