Hp color laserjet 2600n
It will not let me print in black when the color cartridges are empty. How to overide (until I can replace the 3 expensive color cartridges)?
I have important documents I need printed ASAP (in black & white), the black cartridge is full.
There is an override sequence and it works well. Press the select button (checkmark) to indicate Main menu. Press right-arrow (RA) to select System Setup. Press Select , then RA to Print Quality, Hit select. RA to Replace supplies and hit Select. Now, RA to Override Out and Select. Confirm with Select again. Your 2600n will now run even with an empty toner cartridge.
Hp 2600n printer has no overriding settings for bypassing empty color cartridges.if you try it by swapping chips like we do on other models the colour printing will permanantly disable and will never print colour even after you replace colour cartridges.thats the way hp has set up 2600 laserjet.dont even try any bypassing method or you will spoil whole printer.many people fail the printer by just trying to bypass it someway.
thanks.

So.... is there a way for me to print in black without having to go buy the 3 replacement color cartridges? Or is this how they screw the consumer once again?
