You don't actually put it on the tablet. You sign into your itunes account from your tablet, then scratch the back of the card to reveal the serial number and type that into the itunes account and your money will appear on your account as a credit for you to make purchases. have fun.
There will be a special key to press somewhere near the left bottom of screen keyboard . It will look like ABC123 and switches the keyboard to special characters and numbers .
The keyboard is the problem. Keyboards work off a scrolling matrix, so if only a few are not work then circuit for that particular key is broken. Usually by something being spilled in the keyboard or because something was dropped onto the keyboard or the user likes to pound on the keys when entering key strokes. Replace the keyboard.
If there is no obvious hard wire socket on the tablet for a wired keyboard plug then you can do it with a wireless keyboard via the USB, if you have USB inputs on the pad. You will need to buy a wireless keyboard of course, they are made by Logitech and many others and available on eBay for very little money.
