There is a communication error between the source & the TV. When powering up the units, try turning on the receiver first, then turn the TV on, that way there is a signal for the TV to detect at initial start-up.
OKAY TRY THIS..
DO STEPS 1-3 AGAIN AND ONCE IT TURNS OFF KEEP CLICKING THE CURSOR UP A COUPLE TIMES.
THEN START CLICKING THE CURSOR DOWN SLOWLY TELL THE TV TURNS BACK ON AND ONCE IT CLICKS BACK ON HIT THE TV BUTTON ON THE TOP OF THE REMOTE ..
IF THE LIGHT BLINKS TWO OR THREE TIMES MORE THEN LIKELY YOU'VE PROGRAMED IT =)
AND NOW KICK BACK RELAX AND ENJOY A COLD BEER FOR THE BOTH OF US =)
That blue switch is in place to make sure that the back of the TV is closed properly. It prevents the TV from being turned on when the back is removed. It would not be keeping the TV from turning off. Replacing that switch would not solve your problem.
something problem with your connection from cable to tuner, if in good contact. you need to remove back cover and re solder tuner ckt board side. specially in 32 pin ic.
