Can power supply boards be repaired and if so, do you know anyone who does it?

The manual says nothing about the power light flashing at that rate. Unless an expert tells you that's the specific indication for a failed screen, I wouldn't believe it. Most TV's will give you sound even if the display has failed.

Try resetting it by unplugging and waiting 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
If that doesn't work, most likely the power supply board needs to be replaced. Or possibly the T-con board.

If you don't know what you're doing, DON'T OPEN THE TV UP TO FIX IT, THERE ARE HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES ON THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD, EVEN WEEKS AFTER THE TV IS UNPLUGGED!

If you don't know how to do it yourself, find some local Electronic repair shops, get quotes, try to find reviews on the shops.

Fault to the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

The flashing power light and very slow display is an indication that the internal power supply board is failing. This is usually caused by bad filter capacitors on the board. You should be able to repair the unit by replacing the bad capacitors.

Please take this steps on how to determine the problem:
1. Open the back cover.
2. Check the power supply output...It should have 5vdc for the main board..12vdc or 16vdc for the audio and 24vdc for the back-light inverter..
3. If those 3 voltage supplies have encountered voltage drop...The problem could be on power supply board..
4. If the power supply output is normal..The problem could be on the main board...
5. If the problem is power supply you should check if the capacitors are bulged on the top and try to replaced it..If you can't do that you can purchased new power supply board..
6. If the problem is on main board there is no D.I.Y repair on that so you need to buy a new main board that fits to your TV..

the unit should have had the new power supply unit fitted, however in cyprus I don't know if that was available. I believe in the uk that after the repair there could be up to a two year guarentee, however don't quote me on that. If I were in your position, I would go onto the b and w web site, advise them of the red light flashing (again) and ask them how the best way to resolve the issue. If the main board or the amplifier have gone falty, they can cause the issue with the red light, however if the replacement power board was not the 'upgraded type' then the problem will come back.

contact b and w, (I would make them aware that you know that they have problems with the original power supply boards.)

Sounds like a power supply failure... probably caused by bad capacitors on the power supply board.

Apower supply repair is likely to cost around £80 and a new board can be between £80- £200 depending on make model.

As far as the yellow light on the power supply is concerned. Unhook it from the Xbox 360 and only plug it into a power outlet. If the light is yellow then the power supply is bad. If the light stays green then plug it into the xbox 360, if it tells yellow then, at that point you know that the main board is causing the yellow light on the power supply and that means the main board is bad.

I've done extensive "google" research on this issue, and often it seems to be a problem with the capacitators. Philips uses cheap parts that "overheat" and go bad.
