Condensation in dive watch

I have a wenger dive watch. I've dove (SCUBA) with it before without a problem. Had to change the date recently and went swimming - apparently I hadn't tightened the stem well or correctly. The watch still works, but there is condensation in the glass. I've unscrewed and pulled out the stem.. is there anything else I can do? I've heard "put it by the radiator" and also "put it in the freezer". Would really appreciate some help. Also, any tricks to best screw in the stem so this doesn't happen again?
Thank you!

Place the watch in a bag of minute rice for a day or so and check to see when its becomes clear. this tip,i will guarantee it to work in no more than a few days. be sure to loosen the stem and even the back acess to the battery to insure the moisture can escape from the watch

in addition to this tip,id like to add that my friends daughter dove in the pool with her brand new cell phone. the phone wouldnt come on or anything. they placed it in a bag of rice and had forgotten about it for a few weeks due to the fact she had them reactivate her old phone. he was looking for something one day a few weeks later and came across the phone. he then opened the bag and low and behold, it was working again.. this may not work for everyone but its a good story to share to prove how well the rice works at removing moisture.

Battery for Wenger Terragraph watch model 010541106

Hi,

If attempting to purchase the battery, please call a local watch store first (might be within a local mall). And then you can check websites like Amazon and ebay to attempt to find the battery for your watch.

Thank you.

Which way does the bezel turn on a tag watch

Tag Heuer watches are constructed with scuba-diving bezels-- that is to say, it only turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE. This is so that when you are diving, you set the triangle marker to the time you went down. If you accidentally bump your watch while diving, it will move only counterclockwise, leading you to think you have LESS time left to dive, which is so much safer than thinking you have MORE time to dive, than you really do.

My battery is out on my Jaques Leman diving watch. I wanted to repair it myself. I was told if I took the back off I would break the seal. Im attempting to fix it myself

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
If you have a good quality scuba dive watch that needs to be repaired, such as needing a battery replacement, it can be tempting to do it yourself. After all, don't you just need a screwdriver, a battery and rubber gasket (possibly)?
Well, yes. But if you do it yourself, you run the risk of voiding the warranty.
So if you change it yourself and the watch later floods, you are out of luck. So check your warranty information carefully before you attempt to do anything yourself or have someone other than the manufacturer/authorized dealer do the work.
If the manufacturer changes the batteries or does any other dive watch repair, they will normally retest the watch and certify that it is still water resistant to whatever level applies.
This is not to say that a qualified watch repair shop can't do the job. It's your decision but at least it will be an informed one.
So the long and short of dive watch repair - if it's a good dive watch, you'll probably want the manufacturer/authorized dealer to handle it if you don't want to void the warranty. A cheap dive watch? Probably not worth the bother.

Setting date on my swiss 200M women's watch

mcdevito75 here, If your watch has a stem (winder) it is most likely 2 position, Pull out stem to first position, this should allow you to change the date, set the date at 1 number before the actuall date you want, NOW pull the stem out to set the time, rotate the hands until you have the date and time for the actuall date.

How do I change the date on 30-day months without changing the day?

In most cases the winder has 2 positions, mcdevito 75 here, pull the stem out very carefully to it's first position, this should allow you to change the DATE (number) by turning the stem eithe toward you or away, once you get the Date, pull the stem out to it"s 2 nd position and turn the hands until you get the correct day. mcdevito 75

Set day of month

The day is changed when the watch passes midnight or thereabouts. Turn the winder until the date changes and then turn it backwards until it is past the date changing point and wind it forwards.

You will have to experiment to find how far back you need to turn it before going forwards again.

I can not change the date on my Wenger Swiss Military Watch. How can I do this?

As you pull the mainstem out, there will be a position, a 'notch' if you will, whereby as the hour and minute hands are rotated the date will change. Rotate ONLY clockwise, and when the desired date appears, be sure to turn an additional 360 degree turn on the hands if you are setting the date in the afternoon. Otherwise, the date will lag by 12 hours.

How deep can I dive with this watch

Per "Sector" all of their watches are "water resistant to a minimum of 300 feet". Note that they do not say "water proof".
