Hello Friend, Your problem is very simple to fix. You're dryer needs a thermal fuse and or gas valve coils, and maybe an igniter all three are very simple and affordable to replace. To replace the thermal fuse just remove back cover of dryer and look down where the air blows out. Now, just to the left where all the wires are you will see a white plastic part with two wires plugged into it. This part is called a thermal fuse. Just remove these wires and replace the thermal fuse. Now, if this don't solve the problem you will need a gas valve coil kit. To replace coils just remove front of dryer body and look below drum you will see the gas valve. The valve coils are located on top of valve (two little round black cylinders). It's simple, just remove the two screws from the little metal bracket that holds them down, unplug the wires from them and just lift them straight up off of the valve. Take notice that one has 3 wires and one has 2 wires. Just replace with new coils and plug wires back in and re-fasten metal bracket. Your dryer will run like new, if it doesn't then you will need to check the igniter. The igniter is attached to the end of the burner assymbly by one screw and a simple two wire plug. Inspect for breakage, and replace if needed. Happy to help, Tim. And please don't forget to give me your rating for my help.

Gas dryer will heat sometimes and not heat other times kenmore model 72802

sounds like bad gas coils, you have to send the whole model number,it will start with 110. or similar,if the bottom panel comes off, remove it,start the dryer, or in the front panel down near the bottom pop off the cover and look in,if the flame lights and then after 10 to 20 minutes the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils.when the coils are starting to fail they will work correctly until they heat up and then they won't work until they cool down, the coils are what opens the gas valve.the coils are on top of the gas valve, remove the two phillips screws, pull off the cover, remove the wires from the coils and install the new coils, put it back together and you'll be fine, also while you're in there, get a shop vac and vac out the cabinet, stick it on blow and blow all the lint off of the motor and out of the gas tube, then clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into.if your vent line is a long run from the back of the dryer to the outside,i use a leaf blower remove the vent line from the back of the dryer and blow all the lint outside out of the line,do this once a year, you won't have any fires, your clothes will dry on time and your motor and parts will last longer

Kenmore Elite He3 gas dryer (110-92832100) not heating. Igniter glows red for a min or so, drum spins, hear a loud 'buzzing' noise....

The problem could be flame radiant sensor or in most cases the gas valve solenoid coils sitting on top of the gas valves. The radiant sensor must be aligned perfectly with the igniter. The radiant sensor contacts bypasses one of the gas valve solenoid coils and as the igniter heats up it makes the sensor contact trips unbypassing the coil and allowing the gas to flow and be ignited.

The problem is with the solenoid coils,
one with 2-prongs and the other has 3, if the radiant sensor is aligned with igniter and working perfectly but no gas is ignited. The buzzing sound is coming from the coils trying to operate the valves. Replacing both coils is the simple and only viable solution.

I have an 80 series kenmore gas dryer, will not heat, is it the starter? where can i get one, is it an easy fix? don

it could be the glowbar that ignites the gas,or it could be the thermal fuse in the dryer vent housing, the radiant sensor on the burner tube box that detects the flame and keeps the gas valve open,or the gas valve boost and secondary coils on the gas valve are open or weak and can't keep the valve open any longer, you need to remove the front cover and top cover to remove the drum to check any or all of these components

No heat kenmore gas dryer

Gas valve coils can be replaced. All three come as a kit. There are three because 2 are piggyback on one valve.

Kenmore series 80 gas dryer will not heat up

Hi. this dryer has a set of coils that sit on top of the actual gas valve assembly. these coils activate the main and secondary gas valves and if the coil assembly is malfunctioning or, the wires and clips are corroded, the coils will not activate the gas valves to open and close. this malfunction will affect the heating process within this dryer unit.

I recommend inspecting the dryer coil assembly. use a mulitimeter to test for Resistance. you should get a reading of some type of current flow through the wires and, if this is the case, the coils are bad and they will need to be replaced.

This test is actually not needed. the non existing heat is a red flag on its own and, it greatly confirms a major failure within the coil assembly. replacing the coils will fix your dryer.

PLease rate and god bless:)
