Does it show an icon, usually a crossed-out microphone, informing you that the call is muted? Or people just can't hear you?
You may have a broken microphone in the phone, it happens.

Possibly the internet connection is dropping out after long periods
with no mouse activity or if you have any other software linked to skype it might have a time limiter to automatically disconnect (icall)
also if its wifi connection you might need to move closer to the source or get a booster

There is no need to enable the cookies in any browser whether its a android tablet or computer because the cookies is enable by default.

Make sure that you are using the most recent firmware version. If you have the 7" Galaxy Tab, then 2.3 would be the most recent version. If it's the new 10" version then Honeycomb 3.1 would be the newest. The firmware update fixes some of the issues with Skype.

Also make sure that your version of Skype is the most recent from the marketplace.

You should be downloading the application from the Android market. It may not be the application, but the tablet that will not allow video capabilities. Try to re-install Skype then restart your tablet.

Were you aware that the Skype app for Android doesn't do video calling as yet? If you are trying to do a video call, that would be why it is not working.
If the whole app appears as a frozen image it has probably crashed. Try pressing the home button to quit out and then kill the app and try again. If it still happens, try uninstalling and reinstalling.
