Hello, you dont adjust the machine, you adjust the ingredients. what you want is that perfect ball during the mixing cycle, not too sticky but a perfect bouncing rolling ball.

Are there more recipes for my Crofton bread maker. I'm afraid that I haven't had a lot of good success with it recently. I have used Wrights complete bread mixes, they always dip in the middle

Hello, Julz -

Instead of looking for more recipes for your Crofton bread maker, or any other bread maker, I looked for information as to why the bread made with a bread maker would collapse on top.

The answers I found on this online baking formum:
http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/9725/bread-machine-loaf-collapse-when-baking-starts
may prove instructive.

To summarize, some of the causes and remedies for bread maker bread collapsing on top:
- You may reside at a high altitude and have not adjusted the recipe so that it does not over-proof [over-rise]. Cut down on the yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Even if you are not at a high altitude, try a recipe with reduced amounts of yeast, sugar, and salt (try reducing the amounts by 1/4 to 1/3)
- Use the dough mix cycle; Then turn the machine off and let the dough rise a little less than the recipe calls for; When you see the dough has risen turn the machine on to bake.
- If your bread maker allows,.reduce the amount of time between rise and bake

I did find a PDF document (Adobe Reader software - free) for a model of a Crofton Breadmaker, model MD 8505. In case you do not have a manual for your machine. The manual I found has information on how to make adjustments for altitude (page 22) and other adjustments to make (pages 23 - 24), including what may cause the loaf to fall while baking. This is the link to the manual:

Best wishes.

High altitude operation of a ryi2200 generator (5000 ft)

You require a high altitude carb (or carb jet) to operate correctly at this altitude. The jets are smaller to compensate for the thin air.

You need to get in touch with Ryobi to see if they sell them.

Do not adjust anything else on the generator!!!!

We want to just make dough

According to the manual, page 23, "H:HH" means "Temperature in breadmaker is too high". The solution is to "Press the Stop button. Remove the baking pan, leave lid open and allow to cool. When cool, put the baking pan back in, set program and start the program again."

What is the high altitude adjustment required by the manual?

the high speed adjustment needs to be richened up to compensate for the lean air mixture at high altitude. it can run but will run fast and may damage the unit because it is lean. the high speed adjustment is the one marked H or the screw farthest from the engine. turn it counter clockwise while running at full speed until it runs at the correct RPM. any small engine repair center should be able to do this for you and keep you from causing irreparable damage

Weedeater featherlite high altitude carb kit

There are not different jets for the carburetor, the only thing you can do is to adjust and run high octane fuel.

Johnson 40hp- won't idle or troll at high elevations

Depending on the year model you may be able to adjust the mixture leaner for higher altitude. That adjustment was traditionally out of the very top of the carb pointing straight at you. Screw it in(gently- it's not a wood screw). Then out 1/2 turn at altitude.

My bread machine was unplugged with about 20 left in the bake cycle. How do I get it to go bake into the bake cycle. Display panel is unlit

If your machine has a "Bake" cycle then choos that cycle and push start and adjust the timer so it cooks the right length of time. Your manual should tell you how long the the last bake cycle takes and just push your timer until that time is set less the 20 minutes already baked.

Sunbeam bread maker loaf collapses in the center during the baking cycle. Cause??

Too much moisture, if measuring accurately try a little less, particularly if baking in high humidity on a rainy day. It takes a while to learn to adjust. If the dough appears to wet add a little flour while it is kneading cycle.
