Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector. Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work. There is of course the question about the quality or the resolution. Good luck and hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

Hi all. I came across this forum after "Googling" this particular model ilo TV. (LCT27HA36) Like a lot of you, mine would not turn on. It was just like lambon48's TV. Since I could not find an answer online, I took it upon myself to solve the problem. I am a retired radio engineer, and have experience in repairing a vast assortment of electronic equipment. The problem with my TV was isolated to the power supply board. I found several capacitors to have bulged. That is, the tops were swelled outward. This usually is a sure sign the capacitor is bad. The ones that were bad were all of the 1000 uf capacitors and one 470 uf capacitor. Now these caps were rated at 16 volts and 25 volts. When I replaced them, I used 35 volt rated capacitors. These caps can be bought at Radio Shack for about $1.60 each. It cost me $10.50 to fix my TV. I recommend you having only basic knowledge of soldering to do this. Just take your time and notate how the caps are installed before you remove them.. Please make sure you install the caps properly. That you put the positive and negative legs of the capacitor in the proper holes. If your board is like mine, the positive side is marked on the circuit board. If you are hesitant on soldering, I bet you know someone who can do this for you. Good luck.

I too have the same problem. We've had the ilo27 for almost 2 years and
it suddenly decided to not turn on anymore. Red light-itus.
I did find a little trick if you are not so mechanical like me and
don't want to risk opening the back. I know this isn't a cure, but you
CAN get around this by simply pulling the plug from the wall and
plugging it back in. It comes on with remote or manually every time!!!
A little inconvenient, but a way around it temporarily!
