Purging air from ink tubes z2100

While printing, air pump pushing pressured air in to the cartridge bank to force ink out through ink tubes tubes..During this process any leak at the cartridge neck or blockage in cartridge needle causes leak. Remove all cartridges check two needles inside the ISS unit for each.. upper needle allows the ink flow in to the pipes and below needle pumping the air inside the cartridge bank..If any blockage in upper needle causes ink leak. My sincere advise to the users better replace ISS unit & stop printing for further damages..For Tech guys only: Remove ink supply station along with ink tubes out, gently detach both tubes(magenta), you can see the needle other end pump syringe alcohol with the help of syringe, do this process up to free flow.. once confirmed refix tubes back, ensure that no leak should not happen.. fix all back.. try...This advise purely professionals can perform.. others strongly cautioned.

I have a canon pixma ip2770. I just had an ink refill for the first time but magenta ink won't work. I tried cleaning, deep cleaning, etc. but the other ink worked just fine except magenta. what should I...

Sometimes after a refiling they cover a small air holes on the top of the cartridge when replacing the label. remove the label completely and try again.
Also the magenta might have been to empty for a refill to work correctly. There is a lower chamber in the cartridge that air can get into and stop the flow from the top section. This link below can help in that case. http://www.fixya.com/support/r3986425-unblock_print_heads
I hope this helps Regards GM

"wrong cartridge"- Printer is giving us a "wrong

Hi Sherri

I am having the same problem with my MP780 mine started doing the same thingafter deciding to use Calidad inks the large black ink leaked into the yellowink (stick to canon inks).

What I have done so far with no success -
Replaced the ink cartridges with new ones supplied by Calidad, still the sameproblem.
Removed and cleaned the print heads manually and to my surprize after soakingin warm water and multiple cleanings for over 1hr black ink is still coming outof the yellow ink head.
I still get the same message after all I have tried...

One thing I did manage to do is prime the yellow ink and got it flowing throughthe head again but it's still mixed with black... I wonder if you may have runout of magenta and dried the head...

Try priming the magenta ink by removing the head (don't touch or wet the metalcontacts at the rear, the ink heads are on the bottom) place on a clean lintfree cloth (or I just used damp tissues then dry tissues) you should get onelong black strip and two cyan, two magenta and two yellow strips on the tissue,if you do not then try priming by replacing the magenta cartridge and gentlypumping the cartridge up and down repeat until you get the ink flowing.

Replace the head and cartridges, press ok, turn the printer off then reset.

Let me know if it works or if you come up with another solution that works as Iam still trying to figure out how to fix mine.

Good luck

Hi! Have you tried running cleaning? Running cleaning can help resolve this. When running cleaning the ink flows massively and can result to clearer printouts. HOpe this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Magenta not working when printing colors

try to wipe it in a wet cloth to remove the clogs on the nozzle that avoid it from jetting...load again your catridge on the carrier or cartridge holder....
and run maintenance page on it ...go to your printer panel and select maintenance and then select clean printhead..to print a maintenance page..or maybe your magenta has have a low ink condition..

thank you for using fixya..

good luck..

OfficeJet 9130 incorrectly reporting empty ink cartridge

Look to see if there is dirt or other debris inside the Magenta Ink slot. There is probably something there disrupting the ink flow. Use a flash light to see if ink is clogged. Use Acohol with Q tip to clean the area and reinsert the ink cartridge. Make sure the printer is off and the slot has dried before turning the printer back on.
Hope this helps. Helen
