In numerous septic system, waste from toilets, bowls, showers, showers, floor drains and bowls courses through a labyrinth of funneling out to your septic tank or cesspit. The septic tank is typically framed of concrete or gum in more up to date plans with either apertures inside of the tank itself or downstream in the channel or field lines on the surge side of the septic system. Restrictions prevent the waste layer from leaving the tank and compacting the drain ranges. TG Wastewater
If you've never really worked with septic tanks, it could be a little difficult to figure out little details like this. I would definitely suggest talking to a professional to see what kind of help they can offer you. If you talk to the right people, you'll probably get way more help than you expected. It would make managing your septic system significantly easier to say the very least.

If you're seepage pit is clogged (comes after your septic tank, usually instead of a leach field) you need to burn it with caustic soda. You will need a 3M particle mask, Goggles, Protective Gloves, and Protective Clothing.
Make a funnel out of sheet metal ducting with a 3" opening at the bottom, and a 12" opening at the top, about 3-4 feet tall.
Make sure your seepage pit is "full", do "not" drain the seepage pit, if so you are just burning the bottom of the pit and not the walls.
Add 2 bags of caustic soda (my hay & feed store carries this item, $70 per 40lb bag) you will need two bags.
After pouring the caustic soda in your seepage pit, let it burn for 3-4 days (even 5-7 days) after the caustic soda neutralizes, go down to harbor freight and get a small electric pump. Install garden hose fittings on the pump. While keeping animals and children away from the discharge hose (use cheap fencing, or whatever ), proceed to completely drain (pump out) your seepage pit.
I have 2.5 acres, and I just pump the neutral water into my "dry" riverbed.
You have now cleaned your seepage pit.
I am "not" responsible for "anything", do this at "your own risk".
I have included a picture of the pump and funnel
Draining the septic tank can be difficult and doing it by yourself can be messy. My husband figured that out when he tried working on our home's septic tank all by himself. We ended up having to call a septic service. I am unclear of what your issue is but if it's a mechanical problem that you've never dealt with before then you should call in someone.
