Try you tube , but go into your setting in control panel and look for the setup for the curser control it may just be something is shut off they may have ben using a external mouse which you can try to use yourself
Since you have listed this under the incorrect category we do not have all the information we need to answer your question. Having the manufacturers name and model number of the laptop would be most helpful. However, not knowing that, there are a couple things you can check out. You will probably need to hook up an external mouse to do it, but it is what it is. First, look to see if there is a touchpad on/off switch or hotkey. Many laptops have these and most folks never use them and as such may not even know they exist until they accidentally activate it. Next, check to see if the touchpad driver is working properly. Do into DEVICE MANAGER and check there. You can even try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver to ensure that it is properly installed and working. If those two don't work, you most likely have a bad touchpad.
Hi
If you are talking aout a laptop then you need to go to the manufacturer's website and download and install the latest drivers for the touchpad of your laptop.
It would probably be well worthwhile for you to buy a USB mouse for this laptop, any should do, so that you can use it in the meantme and also help with the installation.
Cheers
