My device is three months old. The charger is giving current as I am able to use it while plugged in, but will not charge at all. The device works beautifully in every other way accept for the charging issue. The battery should be re-chargeable and is only three months old, so I don't understand what the problem could be. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Seems like internal battery charge controller has got fault or internal battery is not accepting charge. If it is under warranty then take it to the servicing centre.

the inhibit is always the middle pin,,, this becomes grounded telling the scooter not to function as the charger is plugged in..
The colours can be confusing...
Red is the positive as always
the black *can be the inhibit *( in some cases it's the negative )
The *white or *green is the negative..
Not sure then show me a picture and i advise you from that ....
As you have got this problem and cell is only 6 months old. Pls get it replaced under warranty.
Do carry the invoice with date to the service center.
Alternatively also check the charger, as sometime the cell shows charging due to inserting the pin and a low current passes through but still charger is faulty. Try using some other charger and then go ahead.

Take some time to rate me if it works well.
the 1103 uses an onboard charger. Charger's life span is about 3 years; some fail in 6 months, some in 6 years keep in mind. You can charge the 1103 using an offboard charger which are available for about $50.00 on Ebay. Search for electric wheelchair charger. You want one that has a 4 to 6 amp rating.
The offboard charger has a 3-prong connector on one end and the other plugs into a grounded wall outlet. Plug the charger into an outlet and the three prong connector into the female three prong connector located at the bottom front of the joystick. Give it a good overnight charge and it should be back up to snuff in the morning.
Friend,
As your laptop is not even three months old, I would recommend that you do not try to open it and do some thing to it because you will loose the warranty. And warranty also requires you to go to Service Center. Please do that as Di it Yourself is recommended after warranty is over. But before you do that check the battery and the charger. If the charger is gone then the battery will not charge and hence the laptop will act as dead. Check the charger for correct amount of current. If that is fine then the battery may be faulty. But have you tried it while plugged into mains? If not then do that. The charger will send current direct to the laptop. But if it is faulty then it may not.
Using the PC to charge a Nuvi is not the correct way to charge. Use either the AC wall charger or DC car charger. Many PC USB ports can not supply enough current to charge a Nuvi.
This is not a fix per se, but if you feel it gets you a rock solid answer go ahead and rate it otherwise, please don't bother to rate this. I'm just giving your some guideance.
You phone in question needs replacement as there is a clear malfunction. You can call your provider or go to the phone store. You shouldn't have any problem having it replaced. They may even offer to upgrade you to a Razor or some such higher end model if its better than yours.
It does charge until the battery reaches full charge, then charger stops and laptop use adapter's power. The whole system is thought to not damage or wear the battery while in charge. Leave battery safely inside your Dell while using it with power adaptor, it should not make any difference in your battery life.
