No picture or sound , green led in front stays on for 10 sec. then went out as one red flash comes on . The process repeat itself. Upon removing the back cover ,an orange led was observed to flash 3times followed by the green led in the front going out as the red led in the front flashes once. The cycle repeats with the green led on and the orange led on the FB1 BOARD starts its flash count .

TV won't stay on

One of two things can be the problem...one the bulb is bad...two the ballast is bad. If the bulb is not bad then the ballast is...it can usually be fixed by replacing a resistor on the board itself...it is labeled R3 and is a 1000 ohm resistor

I have a Philips Plasma tv 42pf5321d/37 with sound but no picture

Thats the great sound of Exploding capacitors on either the power supply board. or another one in there. Now the set is in fault protection. It tried to warn you with the RED blinking LED that there was something amiss by shutting itself down. When you unplugged you reset the error and allowed it to do it again.

Best Regards and Smper Fi

Progressive power up problem

Yeppers. Sounds like the standby power supply has a bad capacitor in it and the regulator Ic is defective. These parts should only be replaced by quilified technician as there is very high voltage inside these sets. Good Luck
