Hitachi dv-p543u dvd player video works but no audio, are they compatible ?

Buy one ATLAS DVR/PVR 5-DEVICE Universal remote control. It has codes for Hitachi DVD player.Setup codes are: 0573 / 0664

All you need is to connect the DVD into the AUX ports of the TV Use the digital output/optical cable if there is an input If not use the video output to the video input and the audio outputs to the audio inputs.
There is no tuning required but only the selection of the AUX or other input source selected.

just check the rca chord. maybe it is defective.just replace them.

ya its easy there are 3 wires yellow for video & red - white for audio just plug that wires in the same color socket from tv to player

you have your audio wire in the dvd side, put it in the vcr side

Press INPUT repeatedly to select the external input
to record from.
AV1: Audio/Video Input mounted on back panel.
AV2: Audio/Video Input mounted on front panel.
DV: DV Input mounted on front panel.
DV IN jack.
This recorder is only compatible with DV-format
(DVC-SD, DV25) camcorders. Digital satellite tuners
and Digital video recorders are not compatible.
Make sure your cables are connected correctly, if an audio cable is plugged into the video the unit wont see it.

I can't get my hitachi natura to connect to my dvd player using RCA plugs. I can't actually see how to switch to the av mode! Please help - small children going BONKERS!

Try a DVD +R
Make sure you finalized the DVD. (Turn off Multi session)

It doesn't have an HDMI port, only a DVI port. You'd have to get an HDMI-to-DVI cable to get a true "digital" signal on the screen, but you'd still have to do your audio with the RCA jacks because DVI is video only whereas HDMI is audio and video.

As far as Blu-ray compatible, yes and no. It's a high-def TV, so if you hook a Blu-Ray player up to it you'll be in good shape but the built-in DVD player will not read or play Blu-Ray movies.

The PC requires a compatible DVD player software! What are you trying to play the DVD with?
