Feroza. Loosing a password is as bad as loosing the only key to your front door. Loosing equals forgotten. Facebook has a lot of ways to recover your account, but you should have left at least one email account where you still have access to, before you last connected to FB.
They even can send a reset pass word code to one of the first e-mail addresses you used to verify you were a real person and not a bot. Remember you had to open a mail and send back a number, or click a link while setting up your account.
I'm not sure you tried to get help from Facebook, but if not, go to this page and see if anything fits your situation, to recover your account.

On the main login page for Facebook, down at the bottom is a link named Help that takes you to their Help Center. You have to go through the Help Center to recover an account.

How do I remove or recover an old account I can't log into?
To report an old account, or get help recovering it:

1. Click in the top right side of the account's profile
2. Click Report/Block
3. Choose This is my old profile, then select an option:
   If you select Recover this account, it's hacked, you'll be logged out of your current account and taken through steps to help recover the hacked account
   • If you select Close this account, the profile will be reviewed and deactivated after we're able to verify that it's your old account

Having trouble logging in

Somebody is trying to hack your FB account. Here's how you fix it: Try Changing your email address linked to your Facebook account. Go to Facebook, then to account, then to account settings change email to a new email address. Facebook will then send you a confirmation email to your new email address inbox, follow link to confirm. Then go back to Facebook and go back to account, account settings and change the email to the new email address ...don't forget to remove the old (hacked) email address at this point.

The only way to recover your Facebook account password is to go through the lost password utility Facebook provides.
Start here:

Enter your email address, which is most likely how you login.
It will send a temporary password to you email and you can login and change your password using that temporary password.

You cannot delete the account if you can't logon to the profile. You have to logon go to my account and deactivate the account. Since you can not login, sending a mail to the support team may be your best bet. Have you tried to use the recover password to see if you can recover you password for the account?
