Cant sign in to my gmail account n reset my password

Change your Google Account password To change your Google Account password, go to the change your password page.
Or you can follow the steps listed below:

1. Sign in to your Google account. If you've forgotten your password, type your username on the trouble signing in page to reset your password.
2. Go to the Google Accounts security tab.
3. In the Password box, click Change password.

Remember that changing your Google Account password changes it for all Google products you use, like Gmail and YouTube, so be sure to use your new password the next time you sign in.

Point your web browser at http://www.gmail.com

If another account comes up, sign out of it by clicking the avatar in the upper-right then clicking "Sign out." You can then sign in to another account.

Once you're in, click your avatar in the upper-right, click "Account," click "Security," then click "Change password."

If you can sign in to your Gmail account, do so, click the avatar in the upper-right, click "Account," click "Security," then click the "Change password" link.

If you can't sign in, click the "Can't access your account?" link on the Gmail sign-in page.

You may have forget your password
you can reset your password by using these three options
1. reset your password using alternate email id
2. reset your password using security questions
3. reset your password using your phone number

It sounds like your gmail is defaulting to one that you don't want, and you want it to access a different one.
To get to your preferred gmail account, you have to sign out of the one you don't want.

1. When you are in gmail, click on the account icon in the top right corner.
2. Click on "Sign Out".
3. On the "Sign Out" page, click on "Sign in with a different account".
4. Here you should be able to access the gmail account you prefer, as well as delete ones that you don't want.

To reset your forgotten Gmail password:

• Make sure you either have a secondary email account specified for your gmail account or

• Follow the cant access your account? link from the Gmail log-in page.
• Make sure i forgot password is selected.
• Type your full Gmail email address under Email address.
• Click Continue.
• If you have set up a secondary email address for recovery:
  • Make sure the desired email address is selected following Get a password reset link at my recovery email: under Choose how to get back into your account..
  • Click Continue.
  • Open the Google Password Assistance message in the selected email account from Google Account Recovery.
  • Follow the link under To initiate the password reset process for your ___ Google Account.
• If you have set up a security question for Gmail password recovery:
  • Make sure Answer my security question is selected under Choose how to get back into your account..
  • Type the answer to your recovery question following the question.
• If you have set up phone number for account recovery:
  • Make sure the desired phone number is selected following Get a verification code (via SMS) on my phone: under Choose how to get back into your account..
  • Click Continue.
  • Open the SMS text message from Google that begins with Your Google verification code.
  • Type the verification code form the text message on the Google Account Recovery page under Enter that code here.
  • Click Continue.
• Enter the desired new password under both New password: and Re-enter password.
• Click Reset password.

If you have used your Gmail account in the past five days but have not specified a secondary email address, you'll have to wait for these five days to pass.

You'll need to use an alternate e-mail address you have registered with your gmail account in order to reset your password.

You should be able to click on the "Cant access you account" then type in your gmail name and reset your password.

GMAIL has the option to recover your acoount with the last known "successful sign in" password.. All you want is your account creation date, 5 recent contacts, Other google services you use etc... You can get that option from the following

GMAIL Sign In page>Can't access your account?>Submit you email>Type correct CAPTCHA>Can't access any of these recovery options? Verify your identity by answering multiple questions about your account.>Answer those.... Done... You will be able to reset password if your details are true.

After resetting your password, "Sign In", immediately change your security details like security question, secondary email, mobile number etc...
