The chamberlane liftmaster professional 1/2 hp garage door where I rent, had the door only replaced. Are there certain doors only that will work with this unit? It hasn't worked right since. 1

The unit stops before it should, doesn't always open more than 6 inches, or won't close all the way. This has all happened since the original door was replaced with a different one.

You need to adjust your force settings and reset your limits to match your new door. this very easy to do, pull up program instructions on your computer. Or contact the owner or property manager to see if they will send a garage door tech out to do this. should only be the cost of a service call 50 - 65 dollars.

I have a Chamberlane Lift Master Professional I went to open it yesterday and it would not open. When the button is pushed the unit just clicks and the controller light is blinking 5 times then pauses and...

The code it is flashing is "RPM sensor or motor overload." It is not a door sensor problem. The RPM sensor is a small circuit board just in front of the motor.

Remote only works in the garage, soon as i step out side the garage it dosn't work help please

Try replacing the battery, if this does not work either the transmitter or the receiver could be faulty, or there could be radio interference. The simplest solution would be to fit a universal garage door remote control, these are cheap and very easy to fit and will certainly solve your problem. Universal garage door remote control

Unplug the opener and remove the bulb. Using a small screwdriver pull out on the center contact in the socket. Replace the bulb and plug in the opener.
