How does one configure for 115 and 230 volts?

Look on the id plate on the motor, and inside the cover on the back and inside the switch cover.

Even the company did not post that in direct response to an inquiry. That is a bad sign. So what wires are present on the unit?

Most power Flo pumps run above ground pools and run on 115v only.You can look at the wiring diagram on the motor label to see if it is convertible, it will show wiring configurations and amps for both 115v and 230v. If not, it is a 115v motor only.

Note that this pump can be operated at 115 volts or 230 volts (A/C) It may have come wired for 230 volt use from the vendor.

Make sure the pump is piped correctly.

There should be a wiring diagram either on the pump or in the literature so you can check to see how the pump is wired.

MAKE SURE you have the pump wired for 115 volt use in your case. Also make sure the wire size is #12 awg for the power wiring.
Make sure all connections are tight. If you have an amprobe (an instrument that measures electric current) you can check to see how many amps the pump is pulling when it runs.

You said your old pump was 1 HP. This Flotec pump is 3/4 horse so there could be some pump performance loss depending on the well depth and length of the piping runs.

The voltage is not optional. What voltage are you plugging the pump into?
If you are plugging it into 115, the pump must be set for 115.
If you are plugging it into 230, the pump must be set for 230.
Usually there is a wiring diagram on the label on the pump body or if you remove the end cover, there may be instructions there. There may even be a switch or terminal that states 115 volts and another that states 230 volts.

It is generally located on the nameplate of the motor or inside the wiring housing where the outside power is brought in. These motors are usually convertible from 115 to 230 volt by merely switching a couple of wiring connections inside the wiring housing. If you can do so, 230 volt operation is much preferred due to the high speed start-up available and you can use wiring 1/2 the size required for 115 volt operation. Good luck!

What specifically are you looking for (beside the fact you asked for a diagram)?

It should be setup for 220 Volts ... the only thing inside is a start cap.

Can you tell me more? I maintain 5 2 and 1 1.5 hp such pumps.

V1 would be low V2 would be high U1 would be line and then ground. A picture would be helpful to be sure.
