Canon Pixma MP230. Replaced the black cartridge, now prints every other line partially blank?

The print head needs deep cleaning. I remove mine and run it under hot water until the water runs clear. Dry thoroughly with paper towel and try in the printer again.

My pixma610 is not printing clearly. It leaves gaps in the print. All the ink cartridges have ink in them.

Rosemary.
Do a deep clean cycle then a nozzle check either from the computer or the maintenance wheel on the 610.
May sure all the line are printed correctly.
If not remove the head and cartridges and take some hot(not boiling) water and mix it with2 oz. of Ammonia and let the head sit for an hour in a cereal bowl .Re-install after making sure the head is completely dry and check nozzles again.
If not working you either have bad cartridges or a bad head.
I have a new heads if needed.

Try taking the cartridges out one by one & clean the contacts on each one with a little warm water on a small piece of cotton, check that none are leaking, bulging or have any tape over air holes. Then replace. I did this and it worked OK.

Canon Pixma MP 610 printer is not using the first black ink cartridge Prints lack contrast

Have you replaced that Ink cartridge with a new one? If the problem is the same it might be a problem with the print heads (cartridges holder).
