When the washing machine is halfway through its cycle it stops and a cde SD shows on the display. What can I do and what does this mean?
I work for an appliance company in the service department, and what this really means is that you could have a suds build up in your machine, or that you used too much soap on this particular cycle. If starting over does not work, you can buy a product called washer magic at almost any store and it will clean your machine out. Also, running vinegar through the machine will make any suds dissapate.
I have put cloths in washer WITHOUT Soap. Suds code still shows, Washing continues to agitate and try to spin.
This is the "suds" error code. Apparently it means that the machine has detected a high level of suds in the washer, so it temporarilty stalls to let the suds die down. You can fix this by starting the cycle over, and just use less soap in the future. It happens a lot when you are washing towels for some reason...
I tried to put it through again without soap, same thing happened again, SEVERAL times. The only thing I have been able to do is just turn the power off then start it up again on the spin only cycle and get it out of there! It seems to do this more frequently now and of course it is just off warranty. There has to be something wrong here. I don't use a high sudsing soap and I don't use very much. It doesn't happen only when I wash towels.
RESET ERROR CODE Sd ON WASHERHOW DO I RESET Sd error code on my MAYTAG NEPTUNE FRONT LOADER WASHER
Unplug the machine for 5 minutes to allow it to re-set.
I'm getting the same issue with my washer....started recently and is getting worse before it gets better....used to happen once ever so often and now it's every wash. I'll try the vinegar and see what happens but it is really getting annoying!
